either we are going to get a RK kinda day or all done today and tomorrow

or not at all

:emoticon-0102-bigsm I don't think not doing anything is an option! I'm not sure I can cope with a RK evening on Friday! The club is very good at keeping everything under wraps at the minute mind.....as far as I'm aware, there are no leaks anywhere.....so, something could happen anytime.

this is sunderland there is no inbetween

although that being said-
considering how many times " can it play upfront" or "sign a striker" tweets

i can see the club posting stuff around 10pm just to mess with the fans

:emoticon-0107-sweat That would be unforgiveable!

I think we're now firmly in the boat of if we manage to not lose any of our first team, that's a bigger win than missing out on some new targets

I'm in that boat tbh.

I know we all want 'success' now, I'm just no longer sure what success means.

I'm sure we could splurge £20m of money, mortgaged against the club, to buy half a dozen Championship journeymen and scrape up to the PL. We then end up with half a dozen players unfit for the PL and without the team spirit our young lads currently have. So we then either accept being a Sheff Utd, and taking batterings every other week, or risking the money we've just made and 'do a Forest' to replace those players. If it fails we'd have to 'do a Burnley' and sell everyone off then replace them with Championship standard players.

Personally I've come to accept that success is watching a team develop, players enjoying being at Sunderland and watching a real spirit return on and off the pitch. I'd rather mostly stick with what we have, give it our best shot and accept promotion or a brave attempt with the same enthusiasm ...

... the Burnley fans are absolutely hysterical and have no idea who'll be playing in their team, against Blackburn, despite the season having started and the window about to close. What did they really get out of the PL as fans or a club?

I'd much prefer to be us than them, we have a team, they have a bunch of players.

Experience on this forum and the one over the road has taught me this.
Sunderland will get promoted. Once we do we will lose more games than we win or draw. Once that starts happening there will be a plethora of posts on both forums calling for the manager to go, the chairman to sell up and pinpointing players as being particularly crap.
This post can be bookmarked for future reference.
