We already have 7 CH in the first team squad, so I don't understand why some feel the need to sign another one!?

We have higher priorities in other areas of the pitch. I would be very surprised if we sign another CH.
I'd agree, even if ZJ and Triantis leave on loan, we still have Hjelde as cover. He's not ideal, but he'll do.

It's understandable wanting full back cover but I think they felt O'Nien would be able to provide it at RB.

Jobe was the best player on the pitch against Sheffield Wed imo.

Strange call from your mate there but hey it's just opinions.
I thought he was class in that game, some people just don't see what others see!

He had an average second half against Burnley, I felt, but still done the hard graft.

Anyone got any shouts for a full back signing ? Ideally right footed and plays on both sides imo
Its one of them where if we get someone, they'll most likely not be very good because they're waiting on an injury to even have a chance of playing. Plus, we'd have to pay for a loan. Not many would send their best young lads to a club like Sunderland to sit on the bench and I don't think we'd be willing to get one when we could technically keep Johnson. Maybe I'm wrong!

People are going to have to really watch the games to see what Jobe is doing, I kind of get why some can miss it.

It’s not like last season when he was visibly trying and sometimes forcing things, he knows what he is being tasked with now and it’s quick, smooth and effortless.

It isn’t eye catching, it’s just smart, intelligent play.

You’ll notice one run by Paddy or Mundle more than 10 really smart bits of positioning and simple passes out from Jobe. There’s nowt abnormal in that.

He is in the thick of everything, making it look easy. That’s what he’s been this season. Quietly immaculate, brilliant.

That’s exactly what we need from him.

People have some funny views on Clarke. It's quite straight forward really. He was willing to stay but wanted to play in the Prem and get more money. He loved it here, but when you're a pro at anything, you strive to push yourself. It's a no brainer for him and the club has let him go and we've arguably took a cut price deal to make it happen. No agenda from the club here, just the most simple and beautiful transfer you could hope for, in my opinion.
I have no issue at all with him going, I'm just surprised at the club he went to. I wish him nothing but good luck.

I defo think we only need one more striker and I do think he’ll be one or the other with Mendy and Simic not both.

For all Isidor can play on the wing I think we will see him in his main position upfront and his height, frame, pace and ability on the ball will be exactly what RLB wants

I know they'll probably come straight back down, but they're a good club and a big club. They have a very good young manager. I genuinely think it was between them and Southampton and Ipswich were more keen to spend the money. Hindsight might be wonderful if we keep this up mind.

70% of the world is covered by water the rest is concerned by Jobe Bellingham

He’s been everywhere for us so far this season, a real driving force that goes largely unnoticed…..also seen him getting involved in the verbals, yesterday with brownhill and last week with smith, almost he is not gonna let us get pushed around in the middle.

he looks fitter as well

Decided on my own conspiracy last night after a few pints - the club have leaked the apparently lower transfer fee to the press to temper expectations and stop other clubs thinking we have money to burn :emoticon-0140-rofl:

Fitter and quicker into stride and moving forward. Easy to forget he’s a kid cos of the weight of the family name.

A lot of people criticise from the comfort of their armchairs, when you are actually at the match you see the runs and covering that aren’t picked up on the telly. Onein for example is constantly marshalling the defence and talking to his fullbacks, Dan Neil is forever dictating where he wants the ball, at times pointing to the area he wants it in. It’s refreshing to see the gaffer doing the same when we are out of possession instead of standing like a dummy with his arms folded ( Beale )

The Mendy deal would probably have gone through by now but then Simic became a possibility. I agree might get one but not both.

100%, you can’t see all of the movement and off the ball stuff on TV.
