Im in this camp, even if its a really top rated young CH whos not ready yet but will be at some point this season. 09 can also cover fullback & there's quite a bit of bit of ****housery he needs to teach & needs to be around young CH's while hes in first team....09 will do a job anywhere whenever needed too....hes the furst name in match day squad to me
Just hope the lad come back to the level hes capable of, bad injuries & bizarrely not even same one or even linked...hes really unlucky
My very negative Dad has nothing negative to say about on field stuff. However, he said the club pushed Clarke out for The money!! Seemingly a point some are trying to portray!
I think the club were open to him leaving for a number of factors. If they believe Mundle can be an effective replacement, then the Clarke money potentially opens up a different market for a striker.
Mundle doing well yesterday a real boost to everyone's confidence after losing JC. Really hope they can complete the Simic transfer as I think he could really push this team up another notch or two. Unbelievably we've managed to sell last season's best player without any disruption to the team spirit (credit to Clarke's professionalism there TBF) and be top of the league with everyone pulling in the same direction/optimistic.
I've seen a few say pushed out and blame Speakman. When they say pushed out do they mean Clarke wanted to stay and was sold against his wishes? Clinging onto the door frames at the training ground as Speakman chucks him over his shoulder carrying him to Ipswich to sign? The club didn't stand in his way and is massively positive for the club in future transfers! I know you know this mate so not aimed at you! I just baffled by the negative spin people put on everything.
People have some funny views on Clarke. It's quite straight forward really. He was willing to stay but wanted to play in the Prem and get more money. He loved it here, but when you're a pro at anything, you strive to push yourself. It's a no brainer for him and the club has let him go and we've arguably took a cut price deal to make it happen. No agenda from the club here, just the most simple and beautiful transfer you could hope for, in my opinion.
Could well be mate, only concern i have over Seelt us his pace, fine if your next to AJ but not sure if hes not next to a pacey CH
Sounds like you all had a class day out and we know who enjoyed it the most.one for the old scrapbook memories
We already have 7 CH in the first team squad, so I don't understand why some feel the need to sign another one!? We have higher priorities in other areas of the pitch. I would be very surprised if we sign another CH.
Accurate. He just tripled his money in a career than lasts 15 years if you're lucky. He is setting up a nice life for his kids.
This team is wonderful mind, we could have easily been 3-0 up at h/t against Burnley. I thought Mundle was brilliant, everything I'd hoped/expected. Not Clarke levels, but you don't need Clarke levels. Clarke was truly next level. Roberts had his best game for a long time, everytime he had the ball he done something with it, if only he'd shoot more often, I can't complain because he's always trying to get us a goal. Cirkin has shocked me the most this season, I knew he was good and many told me he's pivotal to how we play and I agreed, but he honestly looks like the best left back in the league and someone who could easily go in Jan for 15 million. I'd want more tbh. Alese and O9 have been outstanding this season too, Alese is like a Rolls Royce, O9 like one of them old cook books our grannies had. Ballard gonna struggle to get in, Neil has pretty much guaranteed Browne an avenue into the side, thought Neil was class again. Not to dampen any moods, because I'm so excited an elated, but we need to hold our horses just a tad. Im getting carried away because I do believe this team is capable of winning the league, but I think the next few days of the window could be the difference.
Ill also add, I was nervous about the game until I saw their team sheet and their fans moaning. I thought there and then that we'd win and I actually thought we'd score more. Especially if we'd played like we did against Sheff Wed. I was saying to the old beans in the vicinity that we are taking the piss, this is the best we've seen for years. One good man I sat with said he thought Roberts and Jobe had done nothing this season, its weird how others see it, you just have to give them your opinion. No malice.
Jobe was the best player on the pitch against Sheffield Wed imo. Strange call from your mate there but hey it's just opinions.
