if it wasnt for these owners we wouldn't have had Clarke in the first place
be in the Championship attracking better calibre of players than Will Grigg, Kyle Lafferty and George Dobson
The owners did well buying Clarke but have sold him on the cheap.

people can make good decisions and bad decisions:-)

Your question is irrelevant. We don’t need to sell Clarke. He is under contract for two years. We have taken a cheap offer because we are desperate to buy strikers.

if the owners had bought strikers we could have held out for more money for Clarke.

But suppose there were no other takers, our assessment was we'd got a good offer, unlikely to be repeated and the player wanted to go.

We bought/signed 4 last summer, that's worse than why you're implying that we haven't signed any. The main problem is quality of recruitment not lack of.

For Ipswich not SAFC. So if someone offers you a crap price for your house do you just accept it? We have accepted it because we need the money to buy strikers.

If we had owners like Ipswich who had some balls we wouldn’t be in this situation.
How did they have balls? What ablut all the owners that tried to bank roll there way to the PL but ended up close to going bust?

Selling a house is totally different to selling a footballer so poor comparison

Again I'll ask ...

... if it's a crap price why didn't the next club, in the queue, offer more?

18 months without a competent striker is well run? Selling the best player in the championship for £15m is well run.

we needed to show some ambition this window hopefully we still will but I’m not suede how anyone can defend selling Clarke for such a low price when you see other transfer fees.
All will be well. Chill and go the match with a smile on your face. Enjoy the season.

Weird thing about this Isidor. Only reason it isn’t blocked is because Zenit are paying 100% of his wages. So no money being transferred. But if we take up the option to buy next year and the sanctions are still there, we are ****ed?

I don’t disagree with what you are saying. If it was £20 to £25m with add ons I think that’s acceptable.

the problem for me without sounding like a broken record is we have accepted a low offer because we need a couple of strikers in. If the owners had shown some balls snd invested in a couple of strikers we may have got £25m next week when premier league clubs go mad.
But they have said from the start the club needs to be sustainable, we knew they were gonna rely on players out at a profit to pay for incomings. We can't moan about the owners not using their own money as they have done in other areas of the club

You are deliberately missing the point. I recognise we may need to sell but not have our pants pulled down snd be shafted by Ipswich town.
Realistically nobody is paying more than 20-25m and he wanted to make the move.

by the sounds of these add ons we will still make 16m from this.

Clarke has went to the PL before for a good fee and didn’t kick on. He’s not going to cost the same fees as these other players going due to that

For the record we don’t know if Clarke had told the club he wanted to speak to Ipswich and after doing so, expressed his desire to leave. The club know time is running out and decided to do what they’ve always said they would do.
It’s a short journey from apprentice to retiring in football, a lot shorter than my 50 bastard years. ****n twats

Just going round and round in circles here lads, Wilson’s getting 25 goals mayenda 20, simic 35 and **** it unknown Serbian hipsters going to be the new zidane

Aye so let's have another look at what we've got today . Move on and we'll be fine. When I was younger we rarely bought big powerful lads .

IF, and this is big if, Ipswich come back down, they will have a heck load of players on PL wages in the EFL, which isnt a done thing atm, the money just isnt there.

look at home many players stoke have signed last windows, and Norwich for that matter, both failed,
just because we're not spending £8967368973458346578634878764896745993458 per player doesnt mean this ownership is failing ,

we are trying to build for a better future.

Saints have one of the best academiesin the UK, thier fans dont lose their nut over everthing
same with Brighton and Brentford,

botth seem to be doing well after selling their prized assets.

this is football

You can't force a player to stay otherwise that will have a negative affect on the squad.

Past 2 games other players have come to forefront.

Would have been more upset and annoyed at losing Dan Neil or Dan Ballard than I am Clarke

any way, back to the pub
