Jack Clarke makes me want to watch Sunderland play more than any player I can remember. I don't know what that's being replaced with, so whilst I understand it on an intellectual level, I can't be happy about it until I see the net result.

I understand being fearful of it but if you have a good recruitment team, which I believe we do, I don't share the fear. Rather than the fear of the unknown, I have excitement over the possibilities.

Sorry but this is where football fans have lost their ****ing minds in the last few years. Constant sharing of rumours and online stalking of footballers. I know some people clearly live for it, but it makes it unbearable for me. Remember Dodds following about 15 coaches this summer? This and random fans wanting to learn info 7 seconds before it hits the mainstream;

I’m not saying it’s not weird to be stalking footballers but for our benefit there’s something there hahah

it’s absolutely absurd sitting stalking players social activity etc

I think we'll manage, I don't think we'll see Zak Johnson just yet anyway and Triantis seems the sort who'd rather play games on loan than be stuck in the u21s. If Pembele goes, and that seems realistic, we'll very likely bring in a fullback.

Some combination of Cirkin, Hume, Alese, Hjelde, Ballard, LON and Pembele (or his replacement) can function as a back 4, RLB even mentioned they can shift to other formations.
