I understand being fearful of it but if you have a good recruitment team, which I believe we do, I don't share the fear. Rather than the fear of the unknown, I have excitement over the possibilities.

 

I think Ballard, Alese, LON and Hjelde will be enough to allow those two out on loan.

That’s enough CB cover but not when you consider if Cirkin or Hume are missing one of those has to go to full back. If we lost both full backs (god forbid) then that would be our back four and we’d have no cover!

I think we'll manage, I don't think we'll see Zak Johnson just yet anyway and Triantis seems the sort who'd rather play games on loan than be stuck in the u21s. If Pembele goes, and that seems realistic, we'll very likely bring in a fullback.

Some combination of Cirkin, Hume, Alese, Hjelde, Ballard, LON and Pembele (or his replacement) can function as a back 4, RLB even mentioned they can shift to other formations.

 

I’m pleased we are rejecting the offer, gutted he’s going but also pleased it looks like we will get a fair price of him.
