You need to do that in a Scottish accent FlashHe's not Finnish, he's only 21!
Looks promising but it's obviously a weak league - it's only just a step up from the SPL!![]()
I think this is the most serious our reserves (u21s) have been taken in quite a long time, last year we got the the cup final and it got quite a lot of views on youtube, quite a few of the players are well known, the reserves thread on here for example gets plenty of traffic when the season is underway. If you mean the u21 naming convention, well that's so we're eligible to join the leagues, everyone does u21 now, some of the lesser clubs still do u23 but that's considered an inferior competition.
Spoke to Gatesy a few years ago. He used to play in first team and reserve games if there was no midweek match. Always said he felt better doing that than training!I used to love the reserve games at Roker
I've just listened to this in YouTube now, the follow up video was the mag crying 'he scored so many goals!'He's not Finnish, he's only 21!

It could be for around €1m rising to €4m with addonsWonder if we've ever find out the Mendy fee.. €1m-€4m is one hell of a bracket.
We played Liverpool once, they played in a bright yellow strip, I had to count how many players they had on the pitch as they were so much better

Wonder how many future stars you saw that day mate.
I'm of the opinion that if we're adopting the same playing style throughout our teams, and we have a competitive league(U21s) for non-first team players and up and coming younger lads, what is the value in sending them out on loan to other clubs who don't have the same philosophy and taking them away from their familiar club environment, other than saving a bit on wages.
From the outside looking in, definitely looks like RR reported misinformation about Mendy

You are right, mate. I had a season ticket for years at Roker Park and it always included reserve games, plus priority for cup games.Me too! There was a mix of players....first team not being picked, first team coming back from injury, young players hoping to impress to be considered for first team.
Competitive matches with loads of quality and interest. I knew people who would go to home matches and reserve home matches.....in fact,I seem to remember being able to buy a season ticket to include both....I'm probably wrong in that?
