True but what if we thought a player was worth £5m and the selling club thought it was double is that our fault? Or if the player reckoned he wanted £20k a week but we wanted to pay £15k and neither the club or the player was ready to meet mid way - how is it the clubs fault?

This will tie in to the club is skint. KLD doesn’t care and is penny picnicking agenda

That will always be the challenge, as they have to balance against what the other players are on vs attracting the next level signing ..and keep everybody happy.

Why didn’t we do that with Clarke then? We should have said £25 million or we’re not accepting but we caved in and we’ve lost our best player on the cheap

Cos fans such as yourself would complain that we never brought anyone in! If the rumors are true and we've put a sell on fee on Clarke then we get a percentage rather than paying Spurs the extra.

A 500 quid a week rise to go from reserve football to parachute payment promotion contenders? If they were only offering 8k last season he’d probably be here already, we’ve held an interest for ages and would have doubled that wage for the right player.

No we didn't. We got a very fair fee compared to similar players who have went in the same window.

The reason for selling is being able to use that money to improve the team, we will find out at 11pm tomorrow if that part has happened.
