Maybe if we actually played him in his position he would know the role more. I'm not surprised he leaves his zone when he's being played as a striker, which he is not. Still offers more in and out of possession than the majority of our attacking players and it's a joke he's only been given 1003 minutes this season. We'd have more points and a better overall side if he had a similar number of minutes to Roberts, Ba, Jobe.
I would have played him more. I suspect the new lads have suffered from the daft decisions on managers.

Whatever folk think about Mowbray he was the right coach for these young players. We would have been higher up the table had we kept him, and I understand the health issue. Had we got the next appt right they would have been better off too. Young players need a consistent message and be trusted. Mowbray was perfect for trust.

None of our players are bad players. What I would say is as a coach you need to see how players are in training. That is where trust is earned. No idea how good Adil is on the training pitch, but I do know these are bairns in a new country. Next season they may show more in training that a coach latches onto. Hope so. I like the fundamentals of Adil and he will be a good player with the right coaching. Up to him, with a new coach, to nail down a role and a starting berth. One thing is for sure, he might well have competition in those spaces. Let the best player prevail.

I'm hoping we do look at a 433 formation

I think Adil, Rigg, Neil, Jobe and Ekwah really suit 3 in midfield and are all intelligent enough to play it. I would suggest it would suit Embo as well.
I dont mind Embo but i think he needs to go - he isnt good enough for a team aiming for promotion (which is what we should be aiming for)

Possibly so, I think he's a good player and if it wasn't for the injuries this season could have stepped up.

Might be me with "local lad" glasses on, but I think he would do a job and be a decent squad player for us.

Guess there will be a lot of times in the future players will be replaced that we would like to stay. I'm still not over Gooch leaving :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Yeah im the same as you, will always give local lads more time

Just feel the timing is probably right for him to go. We need better in CM this season and just dont think he will get much game time. He deserves to be playing weekly and i dont think he will get that with us

It's easy to forget these lads want to play every week.

Yep he will, its easily coachable

At youth level he would have been bigger n stronger than most so its easier to keep ahold of the ball for longer as he over powers opponents

He is such a talent, yes hes had more games bypass him by than not this season but i think he will have a big big yr next yr

Rigg will be a CM next season

I hope we go more 433 next season - jobe neil ekwah rigg all suit the box to box role. Neil can play the CDM role really well but id like a more experienced player in there to free him up more

Cdm n CF are the 2 key signings this summer
I'm not someone who demands we sell anyone, in fact losing players recently like Stewart, Gooch and Batth has been sad. But I can see a good reason to sell Ekwah if we could get a good deal, because we are stacked in the middle. Too many similar styles.

Agreed. Wouldn’t be sad at all to see him leave.

Bold above will move on I think. Reckon Bishop, Bennette, Mayenda and Hemir might too, albeit probably on loan. Doubt we’ll see much of Huggins.

Does anyone else think that Jobe could become the replacement, eventually, for Cory Evans ?

He’s good at closing passing lines, tackles well and cleanly, he’s tall for heading duels, has the ability to get out of tight situations and uses the ball well.

l know it is still very early in his developement but it a thought that has keeps popping into mind lately. KTF
This is probably putting the cat among the pigeons but it would not bother me to contemplate selling Jobe if the prices being mentioned could be realised in order to keep Clarke ,Neil , Patterson etc . I honestly think he would be easier to replace than the players I mention .

The plus for Embo is he can finish and we’re short of goals. That said I would hope we’ll be signing some more productive forwards at long last.

Reading the opinions of the lobotomized today, a few fans saying Neil is only worth £10 million and that we'll take £8 million. I swear they're letting their emotions cloud their judgement, we got £10 mill all in for a crocked Stewart with one year left. One thing we can praise the club for is NOT selling until we have to but also, getting what we deserve.

Makes me think, if clubs aren't gonna be willing to spend the bucks on Clarke, I reckon we will do a deal whereby we get money as the years go by.

Embo's problem is his lack of pace. He's a good player when he has the ball, but,I believe, he's better suited to the lower leagues.

I still think we are 7 short for a match day 20 which could make us challenge for promotion
