Was he any good at Benfica? He’s 24 now, you’d think he want to be playing games every week. Would’ve thought he’d be a more exciting signing than Allsop to compete with Ingram.
He barely played in Benfica he was put on as soon as he arrived and had a stinker against united. He was then benched and barely never played anymore.

“They were quite interested and Hull have good connections with Turikye because of their owners. I went out and had a look but, at the time, I didn’t feel like it was the right thing for me, my girlfriend and I have a dog as well," Longman told LondonNewsOnline.

“It put some thoughts in my head about playing abroad. But when Millwall came up, it was a no-brainer. I spoke with George Honeyman as soon as I found out Millwall were interested. He told me how unbelievable it is down here. It was even more incentive to get the deal done. It was a great opportunity and I’m back home down south. I’m happy it’s happened. I needed to get some minutes, I wanted to be in the Championship and I want to come and prove myself.

“Minutes are the most important thing. If you’re not playing, you’re not getting any better. For me, that’s a key thing that I have been brought up on – you need to be playing. Throughout my career, wherever it takes me, I want to be the best player I can possibly be."

I have my doubts that his confidence is strong enough for the Championship, but I hope I’m wrong.

Maybe we could sell him to Shelbourne quickly and buy him back again?

I enjoy the comedy of this scenario, but in all seriousness, I wonder whether the buy-back would transfer to another club if he was sold on, like how sell-on fees often do.

It doesn't, but obviously philogene would need to agree to it as well and there's probably a first refusal to Villa.

Ie. If we still him to shelbourne for £1, Villa can buy him back for the same amount and get a handy few million for nothing

Maybe a gentleman's agreement between kane and spurs that he'll go to Germany, win some leagues and a shot at the champs league then he comes back to them to break the Prem goalscoring record?

He's not got the years left to do all that unfortunately

Well if he gets the German thing done this year he's got a chance

Also he's not really a striker that relies on pace and physicality so I see him playing until he can't be arsed to be honest

Yeah, he could go on like Ibrahimovic or Sherringham. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him around the top of the game til he’s 40. I’d say he’s still definitely got a good 5-6 years ahead of him at his peak.
