Acun has taken a Football Manager approach to recruitment. Seri and Tufan have obvious quality but expecting them to hit the ground running and be the best midfield in the Championship based on their CVs and high salaries is naivety. We needed a ball-winner to replace Smallwood. That’s obvious. The next manager needs to be one with experience in this division and autonomy to identify his own transfer targets and choose his own tactics. Acun needs to swallow some of his pride and realise this. The “rather lose 3-2 than draw 0-0” mantra alongside a bunch of highly-paid stars not earning their wages is a recipe for disaster that will get us relegated.

This is why I don’t think we’ll get Wilder and if we did get him, it won’t work out. He supposedly left Boro due to boardroom politics. Can’t imagine he’ll appreciate an owner choosing his transfer targets and playing style for him.

Reminds me of Man City in the early days of their current owners (albeit on a smaller scale). Totally scatter gun approach.

Someone else told you Bilic went to West Brom and that's not true either.

True. Can’t say I’ve been keeping up to date on the firings and hirings in the rest of the Championship. Didn’t even know Watford sacked that guy they got from Forest Green.

Carvahal has gone from 8/1 with the bookies to 2/1. Still behind Yalcin but fair bit of change must’ve been placed.

I’m sure he definitely told somebody in Turkey who then informed that random Turkish website he has decided to leave, weeks after signing a new deal for a club owned by his friend. That definitely happened.
Acun and Ozan are not friends.
