I agree, with 2 training days until Sheff Utd, I reckon he's likely to start as well.

The window has been fantastic on the whole but I'm not sure the last month has gone as well as we'd probably have hoped.

It's what I expected. I said a while back I expected the last of our signings would be loans and depth and that's what it's ended up being. No shame in that and no over the top spending.

Ignoring the young lads we've got 29 senior players in the squad now. Not only is it a lot of players to keep happy it's one hell of a wage bill. I think the 3 you mention and maybe even Doc will be on their way in January
A big squad needs a lot of management, I'm not sure we have the coaching staff to keep everyone happy. Peter Van Der Veen and Andy Dawson aren't enough, the 3 wonder kids from Arsenal & Chelsea alone will be used to a massive training structure. Have we planned in enough coaches for this level of recruitment?

Watford kept hold of their two "stars", Norwich retained most of their Premier League squad, Burley strengthened with the player we courted for weeks, we know how outclassed we were by West Brom and we will find out on Sunday about Sheffield United.

When we go up as Champions, not sure who will get the other automatic spot.

I think it’s the number of physios that should be the worry

Anyone shed any light on who the potential outgoings were last night and why they fell through?

On paper that all looks good business but let's see how it all pans out.

Are the foreign imports robust enough and committed enough for 2 games a week in Autumn and Winter?

The 3 teenage loanees have about 8 cup games of experience between them. How many will be able to step up to proper football?

A plethora of riches on some positions, have we left ourselves critically short in others?

I imagine he was cheap and can cover both midfield and CB. I'd say he's the only tough tackling midfielder we've got, so he may get a fair amount of minutes, even if it's just to try and see out games.
Cheap ? Cheap would have been not signing him at all, that's cheap. Any player coming up here from Chelsea will not be cheap. We need bums on seats now, the retail outlets booming and the corporate lot wading in. It would also help if we scored more goals then we concede, starting on Sunday.

Our transfer business is quite astonishing compared with previous years and amazing testimony to the work Acun, Tan and Lee Darnborough been doing. But the shortage of defenders still seems very odd to me. Be fascinating to know if we've got what Shota thinks he needs or what Acun and Tan think he should want. I keep thinking about Acun saying he'd rather lose 4-3 than draw 0-0 and then Shota coming in and keeping us up by playing 3 CBs.
