Why all the sneering at Wilks? He’s alright and played a major part in our L1 winning title. He’s obviously not going to single handedly fire us to the premier league but he’s a decent player to have around as an option costing, you would think, less than **** all.

At this rate he wouldn't even make the bench so what's the point in keeping him around? At his age he needs to be playing regularly.

He was alright before he went off all summer with Deano Jr after promomtion. Since then he's looked overweight, disinterested and like he'd rather be in Sheffield.

I was of the same opinion until the Bradford game. Dreadful doesn't cover it and he clearly wasn't interested

I don't mind Wilks but he's not costing **** all, from the old lot, he was meant to be one of the top earners.

Once we've got Halil & Pelkas in, I'd let hm go. Wednesday can have him for £200k

If he's on £8k per week, that's £400k a year. That's still a lot for a player who won't be featuring at all

I personally find loans a bit counter-intuitive unless there’s an option to buy or you need some extra bodies for cover. But the loan market these days is geared towards loaning out youngsters for experience down the ladder and seeing if they’re ready to make the step up once they return. We ourselves so it with Andy Smith going to Grimsby.

When a loan with no option ends, it’s either a player who didn’t do much and you don’t want to try and sign them anyway like Forss or the player had such a good season their parent club wants to keep them around like Archer.

This was my point a few weeks ago on loans. There's plenty of Championship clubs that rely heavily on them though, use their entire allocation and each season they end up losing half their starting XI with not a penny to show for it.

Don’t think we need a number 10 on top of Halil and Pelkas tbh. Would seem a bit overkill even with our injuries.

We definitely do. We've currently not got one at the club and assuming we'll be playing with one regularly, we can't expect Pelkas to play 42 games. From what's been hinted at by Baz, it sounds like he'll be able to play elsewhere too.

I've seen Ben Knight mentioned from Man City on twitter which would make sense. I think he can play on the right too which would be useful.

Knight has been a name dropped in a few places. Might make sense.

Coyle needs to learn to keep his eyes on guys getting round the back of him , he regularly gets caught out . But is wholehearted and strong , not the best at trapping the ball but he could work on that and composure.

Has Seány Mac got a future here at all?

If we're playing a back 3 and only have 4 senior centre halves then we're an injury away from being fooked without him. You need 2 players for each position over a 46 game season. He has as much as a future here now as ever, as far as I can see anyway. Perhaps more so as we're a CB lighter at the moment than we were last season with Dish here.
