I just find a lot of the rumours odd. One poster on here said Greaves Snr. has said Jacob wants to stay at City but Boro are offering a lot more money. I hope he stays but I wouldn’t bet my house on it.
They probably are, but until they agree a fee then they can't offer anything in writing.
Gonna have to wait and see if they can come back with an offer that makes financial sense to the club. £8m might do as we have to consider what he may be worth next summer.

I think if we lost Greaves to a Championship rival, it would reflect poorly on the club. KLP leaving is a whole different kettle of fish as we sold high to a Prem club and he’s wanted out since League 1 due to his arsehole agent being a nuisance.
Jacob wants to stay apparently, so a lateral move to a Championship club for anything less than £10 mil because Boro are offering better wages kinda sends the message that the club aren’t doing enough to convince our most talented players to stay.
I don’t know what Boro’s financial clout is like but if they’re offering higher wages, I think we should just match it tbh.
