Do you know what a leveraged buy out is?

Borrowing against the club to fund its own purchase.

Any evidence of that, or is it that he just raised the finance via a loan?

It's only leveraged unless the loan is secured on the club itself. And even if it was leveraged, its not necessarily shady. Its how plenty of clubs are bought.

No. That's often how it is done, but a leveraged buy out is literally just funding a purchase of a company (in this case club) almost solely with debt. The hint is in the name.

Got to admit I’m almost clueless on all the signings never mind this lad, until I watch them for 2/3 games and work out who can pass, who as that extra skill, who can tackle then I just don’t know. It will be interesting finding out but I just hope many live up to the standards some make out on here.

Same here

A close friend who works in Turkiye (not a football fan and wasn’t aware specifically of Acun) has always said no one gets on in business in Turkiye unless you’re corrupt. No exceptions.

Definition of corrupt? Different cultures operate businesses different ways. Never done this before but here goes. FACT

All these comments from Grants men stinks of a jealous ex who’s lost access to the kids and is upset the new bloke has a brand new a6.
The facts are that we only won games when we camped in our own half, 5 defenders, 2 holding midfielders. Anytime we tried to play expansive we lost. Had injuries to full backs not happened and Grant persisted with 4-3-3 earlier in the season we’d likely have got relegated. These players did their job keeping us up playing a restrictive hard working and defensively sound style. They were never going to be long term options playing the style we are apparently looking to build

The former has a choice to make, Acun spent some time with him and the club are hopeful he'll take the two year deal we've offered. Pelkas seems likely according to those on the contitnent but I've not heard anything specifically about him. Shota likes him, Acun knows him, as likely as any other to happen.
Travel expenses are going to be a huge item in the accounts. I can’t remember what he quoted the cost to fill up his plane was (I wanna say £200,000 per journey, but could be massively wrong). If he doesn’t miss a match and then the personal touch for all these transfer targets, that’s a lot of £200,000’s.
Mind, I have to pay for my own travel to watch City, surely he should? Hope he pays for his own bloody beer too?

Short term loan that has already been repaid sounds more about liquidity than anything else.

Has it been repaid now? I must have missed that, thought it was going to be repaid but instead the money was used to fund transfers. Perhaps I misunderstood ST. Would be strange for the EFL to care then if we're debt free.

Was there ever much chance of Keano staying, we weren't short of interest and if Brentford fell down, there would have been other options.

Actually long term wise, the sponsorship deals are a massive part of growth moving forwards. In our last Championship season, our turnover was just over £15m. We don't have a chance in hell of competing in this division with that turnover. Obviously increased crowds help a bit but sponsorship is a massive way forward. We need to be looking at reaching a turnover in the region of £40m eventually and that's without parachute payments.

From what's been said, it seems pretty realistic that sponsorship this season alone could increase our revenue by at least £5m with the various different companies/deals. That's a pretty beautiful start.
I seem to recall even back in 2008, our wage bill was over £30m.

Toasty said short term loan they tried to Repay early but the FA wouldn't allow them until the sale completed, that was the original question mark.
