Just confused at what that means for Ingram and Cartwright. Other positions I understand as you can get minutes off the bench to develop, but it seems odd with keepers. I can't remember the last time we owned three young keepers which we could if/when we make Baxter permanent.

Cartwright is spending the season at Peterborough. Baxter we will sign permanently and Ingram is already here. Don't forget, Cartwright and Robson are only 20, the plan was to loan Robson out as well but because of Baxter's injury, that was put on hold. Once he's fit again, you'll probably see Robbo go out loan. Baxter and Ingram are three and eight years older respectively, and Lo-Tutala is only 19 so he's even younger than our two youngest senior keepers.

So we'll have:

Ingram
Baxter
Lo-Tutala

with the two young lads out on loan.

Pretty good depth if you ask me.

Why Ingram?
Who says we'll take up the option on Baxter?
We might let Harvey go out on load again or could seek him?
Robson isn't good enough to contend yet..

You just jump to wild conclusions for no apparent reason sometimes

From the noises Acun has made, I think we'll be signing Baxter. We might not if his injuries keep up, but I can see us easily signing him. If he stays fit, I can't see anybody else being number 1 this season. Great to have two fantastic senior keepers though.

Reminds me of when we shipped Michael Turner off to Sunderland, he could have done better just as Greaves is better than Boro.
Turner was sold because City had a huge income tax demand which needed paying. Bartlett couldn't lay his hands on any ready cash so Turner was hawked around and it was Sunderland who came up with the readies, in cash, and the tax demand was paid.

Are you having a go? Just want to clarify..

I'm asking about the fact we'd have four senior keepers in the summer as we have an option on Baxter. It's a simple question. Why the overreaction?

3 keepers surely as Cartwright is out on loan?

EDIT If you are talking about next summer. Then if all 4 are fir then they just send out Cartwright or Lo-Tutala out on loan surly. It's not uncommon for young keepers to go out on loan for experience is it?

Right, thought there was something not right about it.

I'm not sure the club will not be looking at Cadbury Baxter and thinking twice about spending cash when they have an able deputy or deputies and a young international keeper out on loan... As for Jacob G... where are you going to find another. ?... his biggest selling asset is that he has a left peg!!

We seriously writing Baxter signing off now because he picked up an injury? We literally have Traore in the physio room still waiting to be unveiled, I hardly think the club are too fussed about a few injuries if the player is top quality.

He'll be in the first team, like Ingram and Baxter he'll have to convince the staff he can cut it. But a three year deal with an option suggests a lot of potential.

Got a feeling Baxter's injury history is causing some concern to the powers that be. plus is this current injury more serious than the clubs letting on.
