Fair play to Maskey. I didn't think he'd be able to resist, what with Todd being a Ger.
He was better than a lot of previous strikers but is he the 20+ goal a season striker we crave & would he be up for wet Tuesday nights in Blackburn & the like?
Not a 20 goal man but if he managed 15 and others weighed in - possible with a more pressing game and a higher line - that would be deemed a success.
As for dismal northern winter nights he experienced some of that in his last stint with us.
Not an ideal signing but it depends what else is out there.
I'm not after a 20+ goal striker. When we have had players score 20+ we've not got promoted.
I've mentioned previously, most that score 20+ don't get promoted. Many that do get promoted don't have a player score 20.

Statistically it's a hindrance not a help though.
Style and excitement can come from a significant change in style with goals all over.
I think shoots of development are showing.
