The Bedia signing is an interesting one. He’s not an up and coming talent like most of our signings.
He’s not had much of a look in at Union Berlin, which is strange as they are struggling near the foot of the Bundesliga. He has been an unused sub on many occasions and then barley getting any time when he has come on.
He did come on at half time against Bochum with the side losing 3-0. It finished 3-4 with Bedia getting the first of their 3 goals.
Prior to that he had 3 seasons at Servette where he scored 31 goals in 68 appearances. More impressively he scored 2 goals in 4 Champions League games and also 2 goals in 6 Europa League games in his last season with the club.
He does score a variety of goals and has good feet and good composure for someone just shy of 6’3”. He has a strong left foot and while he does score different types of goal, he very rarely scores from outside the box.
We've been getting the ball into the box more often and much more quickly, so that last segment bodes well to me.
