He has done, but that's not his strength. The main striker is primarily there to score goals. He makes the runs (although admittedly get's offside too often ... as I commented during the last game, as many strikers do). The service to him has been poor so far. Simple as.How much of that is his fault and how much of that is poor service though. We can't just be relying on him solely as a poacher/finisher he's got to contribute in other areas of the game.
Good post NJ.....There are some on here who looked to stir the $hit. Though that said it is a forum were opinions are shared. Footballers, like human beings in general, come in all kinds of shapes and sizes...some like to kiss the badge, for others it's a way to make a living. Just because they don't high five every colleague it doesn't mean to say they want out.yeah it’s a complete load of ****e nonsense he’s look dangerous at left back played there twice, mad how much we want to give him ****e can’t fathom it at all. He’s staying let’s give him a crack.
It’s not spot on, last season we got players into dangerous areas from where we should have been creating good chances, we didn’t create a glut of good chances that were getting missed.
In the box? The chances The others are ****ing up? InterestingThey try to feed him but he's offside..

Who was that greek kid. Pelkas? he was ****ing awful at finishing but kept getting loads of chancesThat's exactly like now.
The 'shots on target' stat was always used last season, but we got into a lot of good positions and struggled and all the attackers were to blame.
The Oscar glut of goals came when he had someone who could be the out ball, hold the ball up, and link the play. That was Tetteh, and even though he played on the wing, he got the best out of Oscar as he helped to get us into the right areas where Oscar thrives. In 2 games, Oscar's had 5 touches in the opposition box (2 of which should've been goals, the big chance and the penalty).
It's funny but Eaves was exactly the same, he thrived at Gillingham where he had a big man to play off.

Can you point to one instance of him been off side in the box,Yes.
And maybe he’s adjusting to the English game again who knows? But he certainly doesn’t deserve the **** he gets on hereHe has done, but that's not his strength. Speaking of shots on target, that's another theme that's continued from last season. We always seem to have a large number of shots but a shockingly low proportion of them on target. Something I've really got fed up of seeing over the last year or so is speculative shots from around the edge of the area going miles off target. We do it way too often. It completely kills an attack and allows the opposition (who lets face it, are usually winning) to reset and waste a bit more time. If we can't get it close to on target we shouldn't be shooting.
These are the copies or our shot maps in fairness. If we got in these positions and didn't pull the trigger we'd be as frustrated as we were last year

Not inside it thenWhen he scored his goal flagged for offside he was on the edge of the box.
Winger.
We don't sign strikers.
I’ll bet he’s a winger who likes to cut inside and not score too?Winger.
