In other words, you don't have a logical answer!
I didn't say it pisses me off. It doesn't. I'm just pointing out that it's incorrect (which might be hard for you to accept as you seem to think you are always right).

You look at the BBC and sky lists, and transfermarkt etc it'll be on there, because it's completed business.

He is making the 26 instalments up.

It will be installments over the length of the contract not 5m (or whatever it is) immediately, but the way transfer finance works, they'll get a commercial (or private) loan based on the guaranteed element if they want to spend it up front. We'll be in a similar scenario with Jaden and Greavesy.

The talk comes from what you've kind of said. On the one hand you have Jones who I agree is a level above, but McLoughlin for me is more suited to the style.

I don't know if you misunderstood my previous post but I was saying that McLoughlin isn't suited to the style. I don't think LR ever really fancied him because he wasn't quick enough to play a high press and recover, and I think Walker will have the same reservation. Jones is our best centre back and I'd be amazed if he wasn't a regular all season.

Hull’s a ****hole apparently….from a Wigan fan

I saw that. :emoticon-0136-giggl

Seriously though, they're just saying essentially the same as some of ours said about Greaves to Ipswich. Should have gone higher for more, but the market dictates the fee and destination, not us fans.

Just reinforces the idea that PSR constraints further up the league hierarchy is suppressing the market. And this is a knock on effect of that.

Spot on, it’s an exact re-run of the Greaves transfer, a home grown player that’s loved by the fans but gets sold to an unfashionable club for less than the fans think he’s worth.

Like you say, the market dictates the value not sentiment and it doesn’t seem like anyone else is that interested.

Yeh I misunderstood.

I don't think either are ideal and I expect both to be replaced at some point but I would say McLoughlin is a bit better on the ball and more comfortable travelling with it (just though and certainly not great at it). I think Jones excels in most other departments but his speed of thought is a little bit of an issue for me.

If there was no one else that interested then we wouldn't be looking at a multi million fee. Just no one else interested who's willing or able to pay more than us - assuming it goes through.

you're rewriting history - when Rosie started we were shipping goals for fun - his first decision was to move Greaves to left back and bring in Macca - goals stopped being shipped

We sat deep that season though and tried to hit teams on the counter with klp. As soon as Rosenior wanted to play in a more expansive way he was dropped.
