I listened to the 1904 club so you don't have to:
  • Zambrano advancing quickly
  • Rak-Saky an interesting one, virtually signed last year until plug pulled. Spoken to Palace and player at length this summer. Feeling was we were first choice for both a couple weeks ago. But now 11/12 clubs interested
  • Still in for Millar, can see it getting done. Willingness from player, but clubs distant on valuations atm
  • McAteer player they want
  • Held talks with McKenna at length over summer, but not happening (turned down 35kpw at Cardiff)
  • Hughes - Negotiations ongoing, feeling is player wants to come
  • A lot of interest in Seri

Cardiff are having a go this window aren’t they

I would’ve thought that if the rumour about us not meeting Charlie Hughes’ release clause is true, then we wouldn’t really be bidding £5 million for Tommy Conway. Seems a bit conflicting.

Charlie Hughes is a name which sends shivers down the spine of people connected with football in the 1980s and 1990s.POMO, anyone?<laugh>

Taking one for the team <cheers>

Cardiff were a **** prospect for a good player end of last season so goes to show bagging Willock and Chambers that money talks. Now they look ambitious and it will be a lot easier for them to bag good players. We have literally gone opposite. It’s going to be a struggle now for us to convince good players to come here vs the many other options they will have at this level. The deciding factor as it usually is will be money for most of them now.

A youth player with senior mens experience?

Yes please. 4 more of them please.

Dont see the fuss here. Might not work like Vale, might work as well as Delap and Morton.
delap, Morton and even philogene had had underwhelming seasons before coming and upping it here, so I agree, L1 experience and schooling at citeh, take that every day

And next year Cardiff...?

The rate that him that they didn't take him on their pre season tour.

They do have a lot of good young players but there's other ways to do it. A high sell on clause or even matching rights would all give them control over the player.

This just seems like a waste of a loan spot
Waste of a loan spot?
I’m not an expert like you, but surely loaning a player is exactly what loans spots are supposed to be used for?
