What in the last two and a half years makes you think they now suddenly have a plan?

We’re already on our third manager (4th if you include McCann), under their leadership.

The signing of players has been at best erratic, and at worst brainless. The majority of players have been flops and the few gems they have sourced we’ve failed to retain. Whilst our best academy products have been sold without resistance.

I like Acun’s passion and enthusiasm. But ultimately after 2 and a half years of heavy investment and 30+ player transfers, we have a worse squad than the one that got promoted from League One.

So you don't think the club is in a better position now than under the Allams?
Is there any scenario you can realistically think of where Ehab would have invested in much in the Team to get us to finish seventh?

Why would anyone count McCann as a Manager under their reign when they let him go immediately after acquisition?

As for signings... who exactly are you expecting us to sign on the budgets we are limited to?
With the exceptions of PL teams coming down with parachute payments, all championship signings of low cost players are usually punts, and all have their best academy products plundered when teams with larger budgets come knocking.

On August 31st, your summarisation that we have a worse squad than the one that got promoted from League One will look brainless.

I think your right on pretty much everything you said. The loans were always going to go back, Greaves and Philogene were always going to be sold, end of contract players were never going to get a new deal and Seri and Tufan leaving are understandable. Nothing really unexpected other than the last 2 perhaps..

That said, even though it was expected it doesn't mean it's a good way of running a club.

We're meant to be building a team over 5 years (we're 3 years in) capable of promotion. If you look at the player's Acun signed in his first few transfers windows, they're not here anymore. If better decisions were made in the transfer market we'd have a much more stable core team than we currently do. Then when players like Philogene and Greaves are sold the money can be invested in a couple of replacements to strengthen the team.

I think where Acun is going wrong is thinking too short term and doing massive rebuilds every year with different managers that play a different way. That doesn't look to me like there's a long term plan.

One clear example of piss poor decision making is our left back situation.. Vinagre on loan then terminating that half way through the season, bringing Giles in with an obligation to buy for £4 million. A huge amount to spend on 1 player considering the size of the rebuild the team needs again and how close we are to FFP issues. And yet we're now selling him to Middlesbrough... It's just ridiculous really.

This isn't bed wetting and there are much worse things to worry about in the world right now but still, there's more than a few on here who don't like the way Acun is handling transfers since buying the club and I tend to agree with them.
Bed wetting at its finest.

Tufan has gone to a champions league club in his home nation. Saudi is a big payday for Seri. We aren’t an attractive club regardless those 2 make sense entirely.

Darnborough who knows. Track record and reputation isn’t great anyway. Baz Richardson is the worrying one but suppose people with certain morales would probably walk out after how Rosie was handled

Baz Richardson has gone because Walter wanted his own coaching team in which is pretty standard

Underwhelmed by all of this tbh. I don’t see how morphing into Hull City is going to help us survive in the PL.

I think you have made 3 good signings that will improve greatly under McKenna he is a good manager and you still have to build for the future these are not just players to fill a squad these are players that are very capable and i think buying at this age with the potential they have is only good for your club.

Tbh we don't really care if you survive or not. Greaves is ready for the prem, thought he would have gone elsewhere though, jaden thinks he's better than he is, blows hot and cold, delap doesn't score enough goals but he wasn't our player anyway. Enjoy the prem

You're getting 3 very good players

Greaves - 6ft4, left footed, strong, good in the year, great on the ball, English. Got the potential to go to the very top if he carries on improving at his current rate. I'll say it quietly but could end up playing for England.
Philogene - will amaze you and frustrate you in equal measure. Got great potential again but his decision making can be very frustrating. Ridiculous skills with the ball.
Delap - A player you love watching. Strong, powerful, quick, will drop in, turn and sprint at defenders. Loves to blast the ball. Raw but bags of potential.

Good luck for the season. I think you're buying the right sorts.

And to add to that I'd give my right arm to have all three of them playing for Hull City right now. Jacob Greaves is 100% better than Harry Maguire was when he played for us. He is definatley a future England player.
