He was also worth 4-5x what we sold him for in today’s market.
Find me a championship midfielder who scored 8 and 10 goals in a season and went for less than £2m.
I reckon you’ll be going back a few years. I’m actually genuinely intrigued if anyone knows.
Doubt you’d even find a striker with that record for that price in the last 10 years.
Anyone clinging to the notion that Giles wasn't an obligation still?

Burrows is miles more rounded. He’s rapid too which gives him that edge for me

both clubs reported an option so yeah
he’s also a league one player and not clocked two seasons of double figure assists. He’d be worth a punt if Giles went but Giles under Walter to a big striker is a mouth watering prospect to me after the at times dismal “tiger taka” of last year (will see myself out…)
You rate Tufan at 6-8 million?
FAT’s are a bit of a different beast though. Like Ben Breteton leaving Blackburn.Swift on a free only one that comes to mind.

I can't understand why people are putting so much value in that. Why would City ever admit to being obligated to buy a player? What kind of message would that send?
We can’t say he’s just a league one player and also be demanding £25m plus for Greaves
