The Cornish Maldini deserves some appreciation. Been with us since League One days, and made his debut in the same game as JWP, over a decade ago. A few costly mistakes, but also had some barnstorming games (the 1-0 win v. City comes to mind) and always did a job when called on. Good luck at the Home for Retired Saints, Jack.

It’s only a loan, but yes, always kept his head down and did a good job. Who knows. Regular football at Bournemouth and he may look a lot better as back up because he will be surrounded by much better players

Very quiet on the striker/attacker front. It looks as though we were willing to spend big but only for the perfect player (Ramos & Gakpo).

I think the switch to a 433/4231 has made a new striker a less pressing issue as we have Adams, Mara and Armstrong who can all play up front. Not ideal but I understand the logic and trust the club to eventually spend big on the right player.

2 players for every position is the goal and we would be just about there I reckon. It's just super exciting that our potential 'reserve' team would be something like

McCarthy
Larios Lyanca Salisu Djnepo
Edozie Diallo AMN S.Armstrong
A Armstrong
Mara

They have an arrangement with the Premier League to have 2 teams. One called Nottingham the other Forest. The best one stays up! Lol
I think what they are doing is a complete farce.
They got loads of players out right at the start of the window. I think at last count their outs were around 15ish. 8 first team players left at end of contract, they sent a lot of younger squad players out on loan and they had loan players who were key to them last year who haven’t returned. Honestly what they have done looks mental but if you read about what has happened there this summer it makes more sense!

Dawson isn’t leaving now, they’ve signed the lad from PSG, so think he would have a lot more chance of playing at Southampton

Id imagine Dawson will still go if they sign a centre back, it doesn’t look like it’s Bednarek now, but if they get DCC then Dawson will probably be off

Wasn’t it the other way round for them? He needed to leave before they brought someone else in ?

A rational hotdog.

Hang on, they’re binning this guy off to us to upgrade? Let’s just get him!
To be fair I’m sure most of use were wondering the same. With Villa is seemed like they had spent their budget

Weird thing is West Ham have already signed two central defenders. I know one is out for a couple of months but you don’t sign a whole new one because of that. They are in Europe and have lots of games though
