We actually aren't bottom of the pile with regards to wages, which is how we found ourselves in real financial trouble. We were paying inexplicably high wages given the calibre of player we were targeting, and then finding it nigh on impossible to shift them thereafter.

Leeds have bought 2 RB Salzburg players already this summer, Marsch raiding his former club so if they are in for him we might not stand a chance.

They are a development club like us, but they might not want to be selling everyone this summer, especially if Adeyemi is off as expected.

If we got a couple of years out of Jones he would be a big upgrade for our back line. Ticks the experienced reliable box I was hoping for. Reliable technically at least, physically, maybe not so much but we also need to give game time to Lyanco and a younger understudy so we wouldn't need to overplay him and risk him breaking.

He would come with something to prove and wouldn't need much motivation to succeed but Id be surprised to see it happening as I think he will want to stay in the north.

I have it on good authority, that before August 31st we will sign at least one player at some level.

We will also lose at least one player the other way.
