Wilshire should be in his prime at 28, I can’t help but feel that he’s wasted his opportunity.

It's been injuries that have curtailed his playing career. He is just the player England need in midfield, but he just can't stay fit to get a run in a side.
Agreed, a wasted career through injuries. You do wonder how many of those injuries are psychological? He did at least secure the nickname ’Jack Wheelchair’.
There are reasons those "names" are without a club...I'd missed that David Marshall had moved to Derby.
I would love Tom Huddlestone back, though that will never happen.
Interesting to see Irvine and Stewart still trying to find another club.
There are reasons those "names" are without a club...
1.Current financial climate
2.Value players rate themselves being at odds with climate
3.Players shown little motivation at their last clubs, so released
Barmby aside, which "name" did we bring in that fully paid off...?
OK, perhaps too many didn't reach anything like their reputations suggested they should....Wouldn't have time to list them all, so you are saying the only signing we even made was Barmby, that in your opinion fully paid off?
Rocastle? I met him what a really nice man, such a shame his life was cut short with illnessThere are reasons those "names" are without a club...

JJ was injured for most of his time....J J Okocha?
Billy Bremner?
Never saw Bremner, I'm only 49!J J Okocha?

You must have very high expectations then, as I can think of many players that IMO reached and surpassed my expectations. Ian Ashby springs to mind as just one.
I'm talking about "names".... The point was about the list of available players.... Not every player (shakes head slowly, wondering why I bother)....You must have very high expectations then, as I can think of many players that IMO reached and surpassed my expectations. Wilk's doesn't play for us either, but John Ex thinks he does. Can't have made that much of an impression. I can't recall anyone going by that name playing for us.
Never saw Bremner, I'm only 49!
There's a few on that list I'd love to see in the team but I don't suppose we can afford themI'm talking about "names"....
Remember his City debut against Forest.
