Pennington did a good job when he came in at RB.... for me, Wilks will not be a miss at all...

We can all crow and say were in trouble, but I guarantee almost every teams forum will be saying much the same... wherever we end up next year we have the two lads at Cheltenham to come back to bolster the back four and a half decent squad which needs one or two additions... and a new manager might help a lot...

... lets remember, some clubs will be very very very close to the edge financially after the last 3 months and we are probably now a more attractive proposition for a sale than before lockdown.

'we are probably now a more attractive proposition for a sale than before lockdown.' I so hope you are right but surely its only attractive if a) the owners actually want to sell and b) are prepared to sell at a realistic price. I'm not holding my breath on this!

It’s not because I don’t rate him. Completely forgot about him. I quite like Batty as a midfielder. He should be an automatic pick for me.

And me; Batty, Lopes, Toral. Harsh on the others but if I'm being honest, those are our best three.

Youll enjoy it on this thread
Good look

I don't know if I'm reading this right but as far as I can tell...we will lose 10 first team players in total by the end of the season.including loans..shocking

Shouldn't be shocking to anyone. It's become standard procedure.
Allams are very much like me with DIY. I'm great at dismantling things then useless when it comes to rebuilding.

Gobsmacked to have seen some much 'love' for Eric the Traitor in replies to his tweet. Glad to see the sentiment turned with later replies. (If I'm assuming right; correct me if I'm wrong) He chose not to extend for just a few more games when the club is fighting relegation, with team mates that he's captain to, and a club that it's been such an 'honour' (yeah right) to play for.

At least McCann, or was it the Allams, have done right in binning him and the others for the June games. Not wanted, just like their pretend comments on social media.

Was he offered an extension for a few more games? Or was he offered a year extension on reduced terms? I think it was the latter.

Hard to think that any player that has extended until end of season, hasnt agreed to a 1 year extension.
Lichaj, irvine etc have either turned down contract or havent been offered one. Only loss to us is the numbers not quality.

Lichaj has definitely turned down a contract, yes. But a year's contract on reduced terms, not an extension to the end of July. I'm really disappointed that our captain has binned us off. But I'm equally disappointed that our captain has been offered reduced terms at such a critical moment in our relegation fight. There is clear fault on both sides, I think.

Fault is not something that can be fairly attributed to clubs or individual players here i.m.o.
The wording of contracts should/will (?) in the future cover off such unexpected events like "pandemics".
Wording which incorporates "a full schedule of league games and other seasonal (cups ?) competitive involvement of the club" or words to that effect. At the moment contracts are "fixed-date" driven. They can be modified to reflect "scheduled games" for a defined fixture list, whenever played.
Obviously the lawyers/governing bodies hadn't thought about such eventualities.
