I really rated him and think, with a bit of luck and better team form, like Hooper and RvW, he could have been a very good signing last season. Unfortunately, like so many things last season, it wasn't to be... More random baseless(ish) gossip: Daily Fail are reading Leroy Fer's post-match comments as a commitment to staying with us for next year: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/wo...good-news-Canaries-fans-says-staying-too.html I'm not convinced - I think Fer is just saying the sensible thing, but good to know all the same.
IMO, our best performances last year were at the beginning of the season when we gave Chelsea a scare and were undone by their sheer brilliance towards the end of the game. It also coincided with the time when we had our most powerful midfield of Howson, Fer and Tettey and once we lost Tettey to injury, we were never the same team.
Good to read that, but the key phrase has to be "at the moment". As with others, it will depend on who comes in for him and how much they are willing to pay. I'd like him to stay, but I'm not counting on it "at the moment"!
Similar to the last quote, but - at the risk of playing Devil's advocate, is it from the heart or is it to inflate any potential transfer fee should any suitors come in after his services? http://www.sportsmole.co.uk/footbal...r-expresses-commitment-to-norwich_161745.html
Money talks, hamstrings don't Rick. If we get a good offer for him and he sees benefit in the move I would reckon he'll limp off to pastures new and his World Cup goal has certainly put him in the shop window.
I do appreciate that OCF, but I just wondered if it might make any potential buyers hesitate. It'll also be interesting to see where he goes for his rehab.
Bristol City official twitter say they've made a bid for Declan Rudd! Apologies it's Bristol City Not 606! TRANSFER TALK: Today, Norwich City Goalkeeper Declan Rudd is linked with a move to Bristol City.
Didn't we have one of their fans on here before suggesting they were interested. Would rather he went to a lower championship side, or back to Preston where he's well liked. Bristol seems an odd move.
Would only loan Rudd out and I'd want that to be to a lower championship club. No offence to bristol but I don't see what he'd learn from a season with them.
Got to take £8m. No way he is worth that and we could get 2-3 very good champ players for that. ...if its true
So who are we going to get in, all well & good saying that but it's finding them & getting them to come here
Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe is supposedly ready to offer us £1.25 m for Surman? Id take his hand off if correct.
I think we'd struggle to replace some one of Surman's quality and experience for £1.25M. I think he deserves a chance back in our team.
I agree. He didn't fit into Hughton's thinking but I think he'll fit with Adams. We'd have to spend far more than that for a similar quality midfielder.
And have a team full of expensive strikers with nobody to feed them? If our striking options last season were Falcao, Llorente, Cavani and Dzeko we wouldn't have scored many more, the service just wasn't there. I don't really know how Adams is going to play, but I'd much rather we invested any significant transfer fees in attacking midfielders, to give our strikeforce a chance!
