Yeah you got me, I carelessly generalised. So what? That doesn't undermine the substantive point.

Wow you admitted you said something wrong. :p
(I got your point and agree we still may not buy him. But had to take my opportunity, yes I am a arse hole. :p )

This may have been posted elsewhere on the forum, but seeing as he has been linked with us for this summer. Nice to see even if he admits he wouldn't have been so honest had the scoreline been different.

What's the weather been like for the last few months in Portugal? Not that i'm cynical about where our scouts watch potential new signings.

So much for the Les Reed policy of developing players not being allowed to go out on loan to lower leagues to 'toughen up'.

Don't think he is good enough tbh. So as ChilcoSaint said maybe it will get made into a perm deal.

He's 21 and he's nowhere near the first team, it's hard to see him having too much of a future. Ben Reeves-like.

Well there's the first noticeable change in Krueger's chairmanship - Les Reed is now able to make public comments, I'm not sure I've ever seen any comment from him published in the media before, and now we've seen a few in the last few days.

Yeah, that is noticeable. Normally they'd have got quotes from a coach or someone. Points to a more active role for the other board members. Could be argued that Reed's already put his foot in it though by saying we don't loan young players out for experience and then doing exactly that! Does rather point to Isgrove not being in our plans, though that doesn't come as much of a surprise given his lack of involvement in the first team.

Les Reed hasn't contradicted himself...we don't loan out our best players...he pointed out that Shaw, JWP and Chambers hadn't been out on loan. He also added the proviso that there might be circumstances that we would. I noted before that any players loaned out were generally on their way. Isgrove is a good player and was given an opportunity, being included in the preseason tour...but his lack of playing time tells us that he isn't likely to be included in our first team. Isgrove has had a good grounding and hopefully has a good career ahead of him. He can also take heart from the fact that we wouldn't be the first team to make a mistake and let a top player go. It's all up to him.

I may have to change my view that loanees are usually on their way out as Reed has used the word temporary when imparting the news. Perhaps it is to give them experience...obviously changed his mind since the beginning of the week (though to be fair, Reed did add that sometimes it might be valuable).
