OK yes I know its early but I thought after all the debate about our poor performance at Sunderland we could get views in on who should stay or go and most importantly who can/should we bring in?

I'll start with my regular plea for Astori!

Sounds like we could have new owners, a new chairman, new directors, possibly a new manager and even some new players this summer!
 
Astori? No thanx. Kaya, who reminds me of a young bit more skilled Vidic is my choice.
 
I think we need a quality CB and another reasonably decent CB. The quality to be starting 11 quality and another alongside Fonte as rotation / backup.

Then we need to improve on Davis in the forward 3. Davis is on fire but he isn't a massive goal threat in terms of creation or finishing. To move on we need someone even better.

Then we need a top quality striker that fits in with the fluidity of the front 4.

I think Cork is better than Wanyama BUT still isn't good enough for us to move upward!!! (I have my tin hat on)

I think Boruc is fine though, just needs to make sure that he doesn't make the Arsenal mistake again which he already seems to have sorted out anyway.

For me of the first team the ones that are good enough for moving up into the top 6 are:

I think a lot of our backup rotation are either not good enough or on their way out anyway. Guly has done great for us but isn't good enough for where we want to be. Hooiveld and Yoshida the same. Prowse is a long way off still but has time on his side. Davis is good enough as backup/rotation. Gaston has time and age on his side and has looked like he may have something to offer so is also good for backup. Outside of those backups (Not including youth) I think we will need to have a big summer to move up as far as we want to.
 
We don't need a new defensive midfielder. We have Morgan,Cork,Wanyama,Reed and Chambers and Prowse can play there if needed.

We need a GK, least one CB, AM, Winger and a Striker.

Yeah I saw that as well. I would like us to buy a young cb (18/19) and make him 4th choice. Then bring in another cb to partner Lovren.

Do you reckon he'll get a debut this season? He's only a few months younger than Chambers/Shaw/Gallagher although I guess a bit behind them physically.

Wouldn't be surprised, he is not long back from a injury. So could see his debut being near the end of the season.
 
I really want us to get a striker who can give defenders nightmares by running in behind. Would lover Hernandez (as in the Man Utd one) but I think the key is unearthing somebody who is Champions League quality but recently off the boil and, as such, viable...

Anybody think Pato might be worth a punt on that basis?
 
I think we need a 1st pick Centre Back with pace, a back up or new 1st choice GK depending on the quality available, and two or three lesser players that we can blame when things go wrong.
