Failed to contain Suarez? How many shots did Suarez manage? How many chances did if create? Once again, when playing against decent opposition who had 11 men on the pitch, Suarez was rarely able to impose himself. For a guy who is so highly rated on Merseyside, his scoring record is pretty, well, poor!

As for Evra, he had a decent game and would also have had am assist to his name, had Jones not headed his pinpoint cross wife.

Would you actually be surprised if Suarez had made these remarks, given the characteristics the man has shown since and before he arrived in England? The man is a grade A prick. Of that there is no doubt. Did he make these remarks? I don't know. But for a poster to come out, dismiss the allegations and make a generalized swipe at Man United is a tad pathetic but sadly not unexpected!

And why would a linesman or referee have heard his comments? It isn't difficult to say something in someone's ear whilst in close proximity to them with no one else hearing. So that argument holds no weight. Tell me, what did Materazzi say to Zidane?

Can you please explain how behaviour unrelated to racism can give the assumption someone is a racist?

Ridiculous remark to be quite honest.

The fact that he has shown himself to be a man of questionable morals and character make it easier to believe that he would make such remarks than, say, Dirk Kuyt. Honestly, would you not be more surprised if Kuyt was accused of this than the biting, diving, cheating, snarling Suarez? Again, answer honestly.

Honestly....I'd be surprised yes. If diving, cheating and snarling is a prerequisite for racism then fair to say 90% of Prem footballers are racist. What kind of ridiculous claim is it that you're trying to make here? Think before you type if you're capable of rational thought <ok>

Answer this honestly...Doesn't the fact that Evra has form for making unsubstantiated claims about being racially abused have more relevance to this issue than Suarezs penchant for biting people? Answer honestly.

No Kuyt is clearly a better model professional than Suarez.

I still don't get how you can relate unrelated behaviour to racism??

Of course those other characteristics and past incidents are relevant. They show that the man is a pretty despicable character and if he's willing to bite an opponent, I don't think that racism is beyond him, nor would I be even slightly surprised if he was found guilty of it.

Having said that, Evra is a motormouth and a stirrer, without doubt. So I would not be surprised if he had fabricated the story either.

What I don't like is idiots making claims like United can't accept failure, so have made up a story here. What a load of absolute rubbish. That's what got my back up.

So if Rooney (a man of questionable character surely, who instead of biting just smashes his elbow into a mans face) was accused of making racist remarks you'd instantly believe it's true? Or do you just believe it because it's a Liverpool player. Surely without evidence you'd back Rooney up right?

You believe it's possible because you just don't like Suarez so that makes you worse than any Liverpool fan suggesting you can't accept failure. In fact not being able to accept failure I would take as a compliment, it's what's kept your club at the top for so long.

Look at it this way.....whatever Suarez past misdemeanours being labelled a racist is a different kettle of fish altogether. If there's incontrovertible evidence that shows he did then he deserves everything that'll come his way BUT if Evra is making this up (and as I said before he has history with these sorts of allegations) then that makes him a worse scumbag than Suarez or even Rooney will ever be. Agreed?

I haven't said Suarez is racist. I've even said that it wouldn't surprise me if Evra had made the story up. And if he has done, he should be punished for this, as it's a very serious allegation to make. I hate it when people unjustly play the race card. Very poor form

Early in the game Evra asked the ref to book a Liverpool player. Not the smartest move when playing away.
Evra needs to grow a pair.

I don't know why you seem to think it was Evra's job to contain Suarez but Ferdinand and Evans dealt very comfortably with him. Suarez has bitten people on the pitch, has handballed a definite goal on the line in a World Cup semi final in the last minute and dives multiple times throughout a game. It is clear as crystal he is a man who will stoop to anything to gain an advantage for his team. It is not against the realms of possibility that he said something to Evra to provoke a reaction and leave his side with a man advantage.

Nothing will come of this though. There will be no evidence and Evra will cop a 5 game ban for lying from the FA.

Suarez resorts to every dirty trick in the book. He abused the Ghana players in the world cup. He is the biggest cheat in the premiership bar none. I would be ashamed to have him play for my club

Hypocrite. I'm sure your hero Stevie G did similar to Welbeck last season and Michael Brown the season before. Not to mention his previous outside of football. Has he a man of questionable character?

I don't think there's going to be any consequences for Suarez. If it was really caught on tape him clearly saying it then it would be on youtube already. So it's just one man's word against another's, don't think we'll ever find out for certain.

Totally agree and Fergie was right to call him a diver, his oscar winning performances and cheating is plain for all to see. I also believe he is probably guilty of alleged remarks to Evra, he is just that sort of player and quickly gaining a reputation as the biggest cheat around.

You mean the time where he got into a fight with a Chelsea groundsman? Show me the evidence that he 'falsely' claimed racism?

Pot kettle black. I used to hate the diving by players, but Christiano Ronaldo, Drogba, Gerrard, Nani, every Arsenal player and countless others from teams in the league. Every single team has players that dive now, it is a pointless argument and just part of the game at the moment.

Dickhead. I bother to make a valid and coherent argument and this is the best you can do. I'm hardly being hypocritial in fact you're statement actually backs up my argument you tool...just because a player has a history of dodgy things DOES NOT mean he should instantly be judged guilty of racism. Try reading the whole post not just the first sentence. I used Rooney as an example because he's a UNITED player and I was discussing an issue with a UNITED fan.

The BBC are reporting that the Ref was not made aware of any incident until after the match. This would appear strange as Evra appeared to have no problem in telling the Ref about other incidents during the game.

It seems also surprising that Evra chose to talk about the incident to a French tv station. Why, when he had the facility to do so did he not use English media?

If the FA investigation does not find any evidence then Suarez would be in his rights to sue the arse off Evra.

If this is proved to be true without any doubt then I dont think I'll be able to look at Suarez in the same way again. For those brushing it off, 'nigger' doesn't just refer to a black man, it refers to a black slave, exclusively. Hence it's meaning and intent is very specific when used in today's world. But if evra is proved to be lying then he should be banned for an equal length of time to that which Suarez would have been banned for. Maybe more.
