Just read FIFA's statement, by the looks of things he can't move clubs this summer.

But people are saying he can?

The statement suggests he can't do anything administrative involving football, surely that covers transfers?

And wouldn't having a medical be going against the football ban too?

The Uruguayans' reaction is unbelievable. They think it's all a big European plot. I can't understand their mentality at all.

After beating England, Suarez was quoted saying "People in England have laughed about my attitude, but I would love to see what they are saying now."

I know he's got a screw loose but what the ****? Is he really under the impression it's his ability that's in question? Not the fact he'd (at that point) bitten two people, become notorious for cheating and been done for racism? Does he think that would change because he performed well in a match against England?

The guy is making a living in this country but seems to be spiteful and even resentful towards us. I'd deport the ****.

The Uruguayans have tried justifying the 'bite' as a bit like a bad tackle? Or that's how they see biting in Uruguay. You don't see Cavani biting people!

the uruguayan fa is alleging that fifa has demeaned the manly uruguayan pastime of biting like a little girl.

the uruguayan association of little girls is claiming that the uruguayan fa is a bunch of sexist dinosaurs.

<laugh>

It was in 2 of my morning newspapers today. But agree it is funny.

Yes all football including Liverpool.

and Barcelona. I think that he will be sold at the first opportunity that Liverpool get now. Enough is enough in all seriousness. Cash plus Alexis Sanchez and Liverpool are ok without Sanchez. No player no matter how good he is is worth all the damage that he causes.

Don't forget that this is the first time that a player has been banned for any domestic competition because of an international reason.

FIFA rule the world now. I would guess that Liverpool should be able to stop paying his wages during the ban. If not then Suarez should donate it(during the ban) to a local charities and/or be made to do so.

We play Liverpool away on the preliminary date of 25th October, but with a Europa League fixture on the 23rd October the game will be moved to the Sunday 26th October, Suarez's return date. Ill hazard a guess and say we will be on Sky that day.

I think he will be sold to Barca by then. I dont think he will ever play for Liverpool again.

Should have been 6 months in total, or 4 month league ban. 2 months of the ban is effectively wasted.

If it does work out that way, then you can imagine the headlines in the Sunday Papers " Is a Hull City player on the menu for Sunday Lunch"

the strongest part of the ban is FIFAs Ban on Suarez entering ANY stadium , including for training purposes until the end of the Ban .

He could well be back for the Tigers game as in the list of nine games it doesn't include the 3rd round Carling Cup game

Interesting take on a four-month ban...
