Will require a very good summer window. If you look at their side now and compare it to the 17 PL sides who they will be needing to finish above at least 1 of they are miles off. Mentioned it before but if/when the 3 promoted sides go down this year that means that (I think) the shortest tenured teams in the PL next season I think will be Forest, Fulham and Bournemouth? The 3 sides going up and down just makes the gap even bigger as the other teams have effectively had at least a 3 year head start on any promoted team on building a PL squad

Yeah if you look at the other 17 clubs it's hard to pick any with certainty that will be involved in a relegation battle next season.

I think we're just so far down about what a joke team we've become that for a large number of fans, we are indeed numb to the humiliation

If we can get it right in the summer and start rebuilding a more competitive team then some enthusiasm will return. This season is just meh though and I refuse to let it make me upset or angry although I absolutely understand why some people are.
I'd sooner watch a good movie than pay to see Saints playing at the moment so I guess I'm already seeing football as just another type of entertainment rather than a sport I'm passionate about

Well it probably will not make a jot of difference but I’ve emailed a long complaint to the Club today with some views and comments as objectively as possible without sparing the anger and frustration I feel. But at least I’ve also tried to incorporate the various feelings etc from this board and I cannot believe now that with the press/ letters etc to the press/X and all the other media they must see, nothing changes. 11 goal against and one for in three PL games is usually curtains for whoever is managing the team. We’ll see, not holding my breath though.

Yeah I get that people are resigned to this outcome, I just don't trust SR to have this sorted for next season. We're much much more likely to do a Luton than a Leicester. The club is completely and utterly broken. The Championship equivalent of PSR (or whatever they attempted to fine Leicester for) isn't going to let us blow a wad of cash getting a decent team in. Quite how Spors is being touted as saviour of the club for next season is beyond me. He's never worked in English football before!

Last time around in the Prem as a season ticket holder I didn't see a single league win (I was working those 2 games) this season I was working the Everton game. I've spent ££££s on season tickets for me and the kids. I've sent ££££s following us up and down the country to see 1 win (Chelsea away under Selles) Too ****ing right I'm angry. Sport Republic gave up in December and still decided they were taking my money. I want them gone.

I don't blame you, you've invested far more time and money in the club than I have and you have every justification in feeling like you do. I'm less of a fan I think since I gave up my ST a few years ago, and this season has just speeded along my waning interest in football.

No mate, you're never less of a fan. I don't buy in to that school of thought at all. Life gets in the way, for some people finances also. Doesn't make them less of a fan than me, I was just labouring my point I suppose. I'm fed up. I'm fed up with us being ****. I want communication from the cub ****ing pronto before I'll even think of renewing next season. I don't think a bit of pride and effort is too much to ask

I do understand people being pissed w SR, I’m unimpressed w them.

however…. Better the devil you know. We are an unattractive proposition, never have been. no big money conglomerate is looking to turn us into Newcastle.

SR have shown a willingness to invest and have shown an awareness that things weren’t good enough. They have and are taking steps to remedy them. I don’t think you can ask for much more.

owners aren’t managers. You can’t call for them to be sacked, you can bitch and moan about x y and z and state your expectations for sure. We have had worse owners doing better things on the pitch and nobody was calling for their heads despite not doing much with the club.

Ahem. Solak has just sold his internet company in Serbia for £1.5 billion.

What better way to spend it than to spunk it on Saints?

I honestly don’t get wanting rid of him. He is wealthy. He is keen. He has never done this before but I think he wants to get it right. He may well come good.

These are the positives for me, nobody is being allowed to run things into the ground without accountability. New appointments are being made, presumably with a view to fixing the broken ****.

Just said on the other thread, I expect there’ll be comms once relegation is confirmed. It wouldn’t be right for them to do that before (no matter how much everyone, including them, know it’s happening).

I never really got the point of Kraft. Solak is the money man, Ankerson has experience in football and whether we like it or not has been successful at other clubs (dare I say he is doing a good job at Goztepe too).

We knew he had stepped down from his role at Saints already. This is a resignation from SR, which I thought was partly his own company. Issues between him and Ankersen maybe?

He is awful at making decisions. Everything they have done is terrible. Everything about the club is getting worse under them.

Also they sell any good player we have.. even more so than previous owners imo.

We will continue to decline under these muppets. You can’t make this many inept decisions and expect to have any modicum of success. It will start with missing out on promotion next season and then we are really in the ****
