Also that the SMC tried to take FC to court last year for £200k due to breaking tenancy rules about playing in front of an empty stadium. Couldn't make it up! From looking at the images of the KCOM last night, it definitely hasn't been maintained. It is absolutely disgusting, the seats filthy, no running water in the toilets in the South and East stands, trickles of warm water in the North stand. So if FC did pay 700k last year, and only ended up playing 5 games, what did all of the money go on? The pitch from looking at the images last night is immaculate, so why is it being replaced?

You could tell what the state of the toilets and the warmth of the water was from images of the KCOM?

Well, they were on Twitter, and I read the other comments. Not entirely difficult

You said looking at the pictures...Then went on to list those things. No mention of reading about it. You gave the impression you had psychic powers.

The SMC have got round this issue, by spending naff-all on maintenance for ten years now.
Those new extra floodlights installed themselves, likewise the new dug outs, and press boxes they had to install when we reached the PL. All free those. The pitch cuts and relays itself too by magic. Those automated turnstiles just turned up one morning too and installed themselves. To say they have spent 'naff all' on maintenance is ridiculous.
The eggchasers are moaning about a bit of dust on seats that haven't been used for 14 months, bird ****, a broken toilet seat and low water pressure. FFS. Did none of them ever go to the old boulevard ? The only running water there was the piss running down the back of the 3p stand.

So because a 100 year old stadium was crap the new purpose built 46 million pound new one has to be the same, right o.

The floodlights, dug-outs and press boxes aren't maintenance, they're new installations and as you rightly say, were a Premier League requirement, so should have been paid for by City, not by the SMC (they're one of the examples of the Allams loading City costs onto the SMC to artificially bump up their losses, while making City's figures better).

The stadium is very tatty, the spend on maintaining the structure of the building, seats, facilities etc, has been way below what it should have been.

Not fair not fair <wah> yeh you're right but that's the difference between the RL and the FA or could Hull City also refuse to pay the policing? There is much more money in football than rugby. I still think the Allams are playing games over the SMC and it's running costs.
Show me i'm wrong.
I doubt Adam Pearson would quote those figures in the HDM if it were untrue, 700,000 to hold 5 games with no fans, if Hull City paid the same rate the SMC would be loaded.
Didn't the rugby league make Fc play most games away from the Kcom because of the Covid issue . If so not fault of the SMC . The contract Fc have may state X amount of rent pay no matter how many games a played. Because of the virus a lot of things have changed , also haven't the government given RL millions to help them through the pandemic.

I really don't know, but would like to. Facts and figures seem to be in short supply.

Why would the league make them play away from the KCOM, there's no fans attending, so I don't see how COVID would effect where they were played?

Did the RL season end in March last year ? , so no more rugby in 2020 if so not the fault of the SMC .

Of the £300m government sport bailout, Rugby Union got £135m, Rugby League got £13m, not sure why there was such a massive difference.
Apart from Hull , Leeds Salford and Wigan RL is only played in small towns along the M62 and up into the lakes
