I do not wish to offend, and I assume there are some sensible reasons for wishing to leave the EU, it's just that every (and I mean EVERY) argument I have heard for leaving is irrational when faced with evidence. If the wish to leave is emotional, then ok, I have no problem with that, but it is not rational. It is certainly reasonable to choose to leave in order to poke a stick in the eye of the government , whoever it is. But is it rational ?
Now, is it intelligent ? Before the vote, I did not discern any intelligent truthful reason for leaving.
Since, we have not seen any argument whatsoever rooted in evidence that makes it beneficial for the UK population. Looking at the arguments in favour of leaving, all are discredited. Therefore I suggest it is not intelligent , at least now when the evidence is readily available. As things progress, it seems ever more irrational and less intelligent.

I think that this thread is wandering off topic. We do have one set up for Brexit comment, and it becomes very disjointed when you find the same subject cropping up all over the place.

Reports today that Watford have slapped a £15 million price on Silva's head, maybe he knew that when he spoke about the clubs needing to talk. Perhaps Gino has resigned himself to the fact that Silva was keen to move if possible.

I'm not sure how much the rest of his body is worth ? :emoticon-0111-blush

Yes, sorry about that. I really shouldn't comment on Brexit at all, my BP goes up too much.

If West Ham win Everton will just be out of the bottom 3 on goal difference..

So Marco might have double reason for wanting us to win!

I am not sure the Everton fans who might watch the game will be impressed if they see Silva's team put in a poor performance...

Luther Blissett just been on 5live and he suggested some at the club think Silva will go despite the efforts of Gino and co to keep him.

However this has just popped up on Sky via Twitter:

I was just trying to be humorous in response to your comment, no offence was taken. Yes we did wonder off topic but it was in jest.

The decision is his as your club have already made it clear they don't want to lose him, so he's now had 2 opportunities to complete end it in the last 3 days, by simply saying he's staying. He didn't, he obviously wants the Everton job.

He says that the club have not spoken to him about an approach from Everton, so what is supposed to comment on apart from newspaper talk.

Silva is clearly showing selfishness in his latest interview. He is either fishing for a move or attempting to strengthen his negotiating position with Gino. He did have a problem with the owners at the end of the last transfer window, hopefully he has identified a couple of defenders and just requires the finance. The truth will be revealed soon.

The Watford board have not given Everton permission to speak to him. That should be the end of it.

The board should come out and offer him a new 3 year contract

Elsewhere I have seen the speculation that Silva is just using this as a way to increase his bargaining power with Gino. That sort of thing happens in a lot of professions. (An ex colleague of mine tried it and got the response, "You've been offered another job? We will be sorry to see you go.) Of course, Gino may be trying to get more money out of Everton before bringing in someone new that he has had lined up for some time.

As SH says, "the truth will be revealed soon."

Is it time to bring in a transfer window type arrangement when clubs can change their managers? Owners pick who they want at present, then when it doesn't work out panic and try to destabilize another club to get someone different.
