The groundswell lessened after Tranmere and would've quieted further if we'd won yesterday.

A win at Oxford, and an encouraging takeover announcement, would help ...

.... people are just frustrated, me included.

I was told it would be last week and now I've had the same lad telling me tomorrow ffs!
Did you ask him why it wasn't announced last week?

I did and he said it was like a best man's speech with people arguing about every full stop ....

... it's driving me insane tbh.

I know it has to be right, but they must be aware of the frustration it's causing.
You only have to read both message boards to see hoe every single word is dissected, and scrutinised, and held against them in future. If it's a detailed statement i get it. I don't understand the need if it's as short and low profile as mentioned lately.
My personal excitement has dropped off massively, the more sanitised it seems to be, and the longer it has drawn out. It will certainly perk right back up, if it's as exciting as i previously imagined.

Agreed. And I'd add that we had the rumoured Mark Campbell interest recently. That scared me a bit, I was worried that the owners would be so desperate for someone to share the financial burden (as they can't really afford us next year) they'd end up letting almost anyone in, that bloke sounded like, in football terms, he didn't have a pot to piss in.

That's where my worry comes in. This isn't just any investment, this is investment that would give hope. In theory, if they eventually went all in, we'd never need another investor, these could take us as far as anyone. I'm desperate to have that security for the club, and that hope. When you've got kids especially you start to really hope they stick with the club and you want to think they might see us decent eventually. If this breaks down we'd look ****ed for the foreseeable future in terms of getting established even back in the championship (even getting up might be a struggle) and we might end up with another Campbell type getting on board. Absolutely desperate for this to go through and for us to get these people to the table in some capacity or other

Yes mate. I think Donald pretty much came out and confirmed this. That Campbell definitely seemed like a bit of a chancer.

I remain confident that this will go through. I only hope that this loan that's being talked about, does have terms attached that if we don't go up this year and we are unable to repay the loan, FPP would get more of the club.

I think we all agree, and we are all desperate for goods news.

However the anti owner agenda I have read during this time has been at times shocking

Agree. Some of the stuff, particularly on RTG, has been a disgrace. There are definately a few posters on there who had connections with other consortiums who were looking to buy from Short, and they make it their business to mischief-make.

The maticulous way that the whole due dilligence process and the attention to detail in areas such as this, can only be a good thing mate. Here's to tomorrow!!!

I was torn to pieces on RTG for reporting I'd been told incognito reporters were posting misinfornation, etc.

That was a couple of months ago and no one believed me.

I'd say some of the acerbic, and relentless, postings might suggest that there's some truth in it.

Whenever Campbell is mentioned all I see is Michael Knighton doing 'keepy-ups' at Old Trafford.

I’m reading Souness’s book. Knighton was close to pulling that off believe it or not. He was banking on a £10 million input from the owner of Glasgow Rangers. The Rangers fella I can’t remember his name( might have been Murray) agreed to do it then changed his mind as he didn’t want involvement with two clubs.
If he hadn’t changed his mind Knighton would have bought Man United and Souness had agreed to be their manager.

Fergie stays at Aberdeen and the become a dominant force in world football

Who knows ? Souness also mentions that Fergie was under intense pressure from the board but had an ally in Bobby Charlton who backed him to the hilt when things were not going great. He says United fans owe Bobby Charlton a lot of thanks.

I’d say the likes of Nick Barnes would be posting to defend Ross .The likes of him and one or two in the local media had become very Fond of Jack Ross and become blind to his ****e tactics and football and blamed the owners for everything .

If Donald is scraping around for 4 million it just goes to prove he hasn’t got the money to get us out of this league
