This isn't a serious forum for precise debate and definitive judgements tbf ...

... people come on to idly gossip about all manner of shyte.

I doubt 1% really care one way or the other about Schofield but the fact he's 'bravely come out' will have some people vehemently, and automatically, defending him. I'd guess the same would apply if he was a spokesman for black issues or whatever. 'Witch hunt' would get an airing for sure

No one has the full facts but gossip over the garden fence has never been subject to strict rules and never will be.

I'd bet Noah''s neighbours were gossiping about his unnatural interest in animals and monopoly on all the local wood.

"I bet the bastard would let us all drown given half a chance ... the tosser."
Conjecture, thats all it is. Getting all worked up over something as silly as this is a little weird.
I dont even have time to watch daytime Telly and only really formed an opinion of him through the news and social media, never like him after he ditched Gordon the Gopher

I always post 'No more Heroes' in these situations.

We have no idea what any of these people are really like for better or for worse ....

... I can't remember anyone ever hating Rolf Harris prior to his child molesting tbh.

My motto is 'entertain me and f**k off'.

I've no interest in anyone's private/family life and never believe talent excuses anyone from being a tosser. I wouldn't want to spend a second with Morrissey but would take any opportunity to see him onstage.

I stopped watching mainstream TV a few years ago. I see the odd thing pop up on YouTube re stuff like Britain's got talent and I think.to myself "is this s**t still on". There was a beat boxer on the clip I seen where he came out all humble going on like it was his dream to be on BGT etc etc, turns out he has been in and won multiple televised talent shows, had deals, been in groups etc. Then gets the golden buzzer with this look of "oh you two" when Ant and Dec ran out just like in rehearsals to press the golden buzzer. What's the point of a talent show if ITV invite people on it?I'm digressing here ofcourse, but the my point is, Schofield and co are stale, on everything and annoying as f**k, hence my can't be arsed with mainstream anymore.

sure i read on here that 'rumour' was never proven yet now he has admitted to it, the problem being is that when a person lies then admits to doing so, people rightly wonder what else has been lied about and if he will be willing to own up straight away...and then people wonder how 'deep' this will go.

seems he got the lad a job as a 'teenager' which could cause a few to think there was a lot more going on and possibly for a while.

Still playing it down nothing illegal. The rumour was he met this lad at 15 befriended him, got him a job promised his influence in getting him acting jobs. I'm sure there is a name for that kind of activity and it isn't legal to do it either!

Well, well, well !!
No smoke without fire did I say and someone got a little riled <doh>
This has got legs and the vultures are circling, wonder if he’s trying to make up with his brother, could be padded up together soon.

Eamon Holmes now tweeting direct allegations. I know he's gone over the edge a bit recently but that's a big step.

The public are entitled to gossip based on what's being seen in the media and what his colleagues are saying ...

... it's not like it's us making things up out of nowhere.

And purely on past examples I'd say the 'no smoke without fire' principle is pretty fair and reasonable.

Besides, social media is packed full of gossip ...

... if people don't like it don't go on it.
