No. That's what I was asking you. You said he was "squeaky clean" until he came out. The inference being that being a homosexual is somehow wrong/unclean

Perhaps he means that there's a difference between 'coming clean' and 'being clean' ...

... covering up your sexuality, to advance your earnings, could be seen as dirty and deceitful.

I've no idea about his 'career' as I don't watch the kind of things he'd appear in, but perhaps he's cultivated some kind of faux chemistry with female colleagues that the public bought into. Perhaps he's presented a false identity and his marriage as being something it isn't. If that's the case then he could be thought of as being dishonest for personal gain. He might also be frowned upon, by fellow gays, as hiding his true identify until he had no other option.

If so it's no surprise he's having people turn their backs ...

... carefully <laugh>

Course it is. Keyboard warriors know all the intimate details of a person's life

Dear Lord
Your behaving like a keyboard warrior, nobody knows the intimate details of Schofields private life but when his " friends & colleagues " start deserting him does that not raise concerns as to why ? A lot of the stuff freely available on twitter is concerning if believed, lets not forget the way Saville was allowed to get away with his sordid ways because people were too afraid to face him up ! Look at what other ex colleagues are saying about him on GB News, there is no smoke without fire.

Libel litigation can result in massive awards of compensation ...

... anyone fingering him needs to be sure of what they're entering into <whistle>

There you go. Case closed

People are only discussing what they do know, not what they don't ...

... isn't that always the case.

Everyone's entitled to comment on what's in the news and give an opinion, as you're doing ...

... it's all irrelevant as it's just a little chat forum and not a criminal court.

A quick look shows you started a thread about Musk based on gossip and Internet chat in which you questioned his rationale.

Isn't that the same principle.

I could have wrote that but I couldn’t be bothered, ( well maybe not quite as good <laugh> ) but I always feel good anyway letting people like Top Cat feel high and mighty.<ok>
Welcome back by the way.

People are only discussing what they do know, not what they don't ...

Actually I think people are discussing what they don't know, but have read on twitter so are taking as Gospel

Rumours of a fall out with his co-host, lots of it linked to tensions around his brother's court case. That is the current supposition

That has morphed into "same as his brother" and "no smoke, without fire" from the usual lunatics on social media. People putting 2 & 2 together and getting 5,000

If he really was the person people are painting him to be, would ITV have let him carry on presenting as long as this? Would his former colleagues even reference him., never mind pay tribute?

I hate this lazy rumour mongering and stereotyping that goes on - even when he came out there were rumours that he was "forced to" by a former lover and suggestions of an underage person involved but it's amazing how none of that turned out to be true.

This sort of **** has been going on for years - I was told in no uncertain terms by my wife's uncle that Gary Speed "only killed himself ''cos he was a *** and it was coming out in the papers" - amazing how the finest journalistic minds of our generation got nowhere near that story, but a drunk in a North Shields pub had the full exclusive on it.

It's boring and it's damaging.

To be fair, you have absolutely no more idea that he isn't, it's just more guesswork, he could be much worse.

TV companies turn endless blind eyes if the money's coming in and, up until now, he seems to have managed to keep quite a lot hidden.

None of us, yourself included, knows what's true and what there's still to come out. In the meantime people will gossip as people have always done. Unless your information is any better your just part of the problem and current furore. Those unjustly accused will always have the right to sue for damages ...

... Max Clifford used endless threats of revenge and retribution until they locked him up.

He was carrying on with a production assistant and the papers got wind of it. Otherwise he'd still be pretending he was married now. For my money it should never have had to be hidden in the first place, but he's of that generation who had to unfortunately.

I think people are naturally suspicious about tv personalities now after all the high profile cases over the years. Maybe that kind of behaviour by celebrities also a product of the era - I'm not saying it's anything like Savile mind, but something like Barrowman wouldn't surprise me. I expect we'll get full details before too long.

ITV sacked him, Holmes isn’t going to say it live on GB News if he didn’t have the inside knowledge, you don’t get sacked for nowt or get publicly ditched by your colleagues for nowt. Schofield has sat on that sofa slagging people off for 20 years self pontificating, maybe just maybe it’s his turn.

Link? There's nothing in the mainstream media about that

Are we saying rumours are definitely true, even when no-one reports on them because they've all been hushed up?
