Yeah if he thinks he’s too good for us, he’s in for a surprise. He’s been awful for ages. He’s so bad when he has the ball at his feet.
And let's not forget the very long apprenticeship that Ralph gave him to help 'settle in' etc. Our club has a record of players forgetting our 'generosity' which I think is down to whispering agents.

The first of many who will be running for the hills when we get relegated
We should be bringing in well over £100m this summer and hope we will be able to reinvest in some fresh hungry players with better attitudes

Good point, but my concern, like others have mentioned on here, is about the quality of our purchases this season with Lavia being an exception, has been very questionable especially re attitude of those being bought or suitability to the urgent need we've had for a long time. Let's see what happens when our future is more certain.

Oh Sally can wait, he knows it's too late
To sign a new contract
His soul slides away
But don't look back in anger
We've got ABK* :emoticon-0159-music

*Until he forces through a move in the summer.

There were signs that Salisu was a bit of a maverick; Plays distinctly average every game until Man City, then he turns into prime Maldini; Chose not to represent his country until they actually qualified for the World Cup, then happy to join the squad (everyone slagged off Bednarek for wanting to play for Poland, but in my book that's an admirable quality in a player).

It's telling that Bednarek is playing much better again now with a different CB partner. I always had a feeling that Salisu was the bad egg, and it is somewhat satisfying seeing these reports, because it vindicates Bednarek to an extent for his bad form last season. Your CB pairing need to understand each other like brothers, and if you have one whose heart isn't in it, I imagine that is frustrating as f*ck for the other one.

Obviously Beddie didn't help himself with his comments when he left, but I can understand why he grew disillusioned, seeing as he became the fall guy for our bad run of form last season.

I was disappointed With Jan's comment at first but then it's typical football rubbish journos to get something out there and cause discontentment etc. Your points on the pairing seem well backed up by the evidence and despite his misfortune with og's etc he's always seems to wear the shirt !
Far better but than H somebody, now where did go?

Whether or not any of that is true in terms of he spoke to Marsch and Marsch said it, it’s not really much of a stretch to believe it. SR clearly have an idea of what they want to do, the old back room and maybe players (I know JWP has alluded to not enough experienced players in an interview before) maybe didn’t want to go down the route SR want. I think everyone agrees that they’ve been naieve and gone too much too soon, but it’s pretty evident that they do know what they want in my mind. That possibly has changed based on the season we’ve had but I’d hope they stick to their guns with it for a little while longer at least

I'm looking forward to see how it all pans out in the next few seasons, there is no doubt that we have some very talented young players here and they may possibly develop better at a lower level and get more first team opportunities with a forward looking and brave manager.

Yeah I still am in the let’s see how it works out over a number of seasons camp. There has been some saying our recruitment was **** last summer and Lavia was the only good signing etc. But we have set ourselves up well for the next few years with some of the younger players who are showing promise. Getting relegated was obviously not part of the plan but it’s always a risk for a team like ours no matter what strategy you take. Being a Norwich type yo-yo team is far better than finishing bottom half of the Prem for 5 years straight in my view
