It's an interesting interview. I'm not sure he comes across terribly well in it - kind of undecided on that. But for us, he was majestic, absolutely. I think he definitely had the ability to make the step up, I just wonder (reading that) if he had the mental fortitude.
I don't think it was an issue with him, more so his choice of club. A fair few great players have failed at United since Fergie left, some far greater than Morgan. Look at Di Maria, a world class player that has won everything there is to win.
I remember him saying how he underestimated the pressure/size/commitment of playing for a club like Man U. At Saints you do your training/analysis at the training ground, maybe a workout in the gym after and off you go. At Utd you do the same thing but then have all the commercial obligations which take just as much time as the football side and it made it harder for him to concentrate on the football side
Nathan Redmond ripping it up for Besiktas now. Scored and assisted another THREE, in just 45 minutes, against Fenerbahce.
Footy Insider really aren't worth the time of day. Utter garbage and making up ****e. In fact, someone posted similar on SW (I think) a few hours before and they probably just lifted it from there, and rehashed it as their own.
It sounds slightly unfortunate, 4 Saints fans with a Man City supporting kid. But you have to be more savvy than that, was it really that hard to not let your kid wear his City jersey in the home end? Love all the righteous outrage in the comments and tagging of the club in the comments demanding they ‘make things right’, just don’t be an idiot. Bet if it was the other way round the top 6 apologists would be out in force.
With all the problems and closing of blocks I salute this decision. I saw a Newcastle fan get absolutely battered being in the home end. It's home for a reason.
I remember when I went to my first away game on Boxing Day as a 6/7 year old. Was away at Wimbledon circa 1999 I guess and I had been given a Man Utd shirt for Xmas from some family friend. I wanted to wear it to the game the following day but my dad said I’d get stabbed so wouldn’t let me, he didn’t specify by who
Meh, just one of a huge number (as in, every one of our squad bar 3 or 4) I have no affinity with and would happily see leave.
Yeah if he thinks he’s too good for us, he’s in for a surprise. He’s been awful for ages. He’s so bad when he has the ball at his feet.
