Big vote of confidence in him if Ralph and co are happy to extend his deal by 3.5 years.
Looking forward to seeing him mature - hopefully against Swansea!
Hopefully he will go from strength to strength, haven't seen too much of him this year though.

Hopefully the first of several necessary renewals. Salisu being one of the main other ones
With Tella I think it’s also good to have those academy “Head Boy” figures too. Work hard and get good and you will get time, trust and investment.

So glad he is out of the club. Easy to see why he failed here
When was Tella's previous contract due to expire? Might just be me, but it doesn't seem like a particularly long deal. If he has a great next season, then next summer he'll have just two years remaining. Maybe I'm over thinking it.
The over way around. 18 months left so a 2 year extension I imagineGuessing he had 2 years left, so an 18 month extension.

Surely that is going to take a 14 Club vote that won’t pass ?Saints are pushing for any signings made in January to be ineligible for games rearranged that were due to be played before 1st Jan. Newcastle fans now losing their **** on Twatter.![]()
The counter people will make to this “what about people sold” will hopefully incentivise teams to get on with rearranging fixtures before this happensSaints are pushing for any signings made in January to be ineligible for games rearranged that were due to be played before 1st Jan. Ralph talked about it in the press conferenceThe counter people will make to this “what about people sold” will hopefully incentivise teams to get on with rearranging fixtures before this happens
Where is this from btw ? Sky sports?
It will only “never work” because the premier league doesn’t want it to due to venal self interest. Which is the reason the Newcastle purchase was signed off on in the first place when it ridiculously skews the league forever moreI admire Ralph for sticking with this because the injustice is infuriating. But what he’s suggesting will never work. The only answer is for the premier league to be fully transparent and fully consistent over why a game is being called off. Unfortunately that won’t help us now though…
As big a blow that could be, it's a straight forward problem to fix, KWP in at RB (when Covid and suspension free) with Perraud at LB.
