Imagine if they did a combined for and against giant killings?
Top of the list obviously being the ‘76 Final!
I do take slight issue with calling our defeat of Blackpool in 2011 a giant killing though: we were a bigger club than they were even though we were a league below the the time.
Wait a minute.... ...you're complaining because we run at a profit and pay less to agents?
We know from the financial records and from fan forums that no money is being taken out or put in by Gao / Kat so any profit/ saving on agent fees goes to investment in the squad. Can't see anything but positives there.
That has been the best 10 min football I’ve seen Saints all season/last season/the previous season etc! Many thanks for putting them on. Couldn’t help seeing how we used to absolutely attack the opposition goal with movement and some cracking service from the by-line etc. Simple game isn’t it!!
It was saintsfcfan that posted the video. Watching those goals again makes me realise how good some of the saints team lambert played in were

Still the most joyfull moment I've had as a Saints fan, even beats the cup win (sorry).
Always say to those who say Rickie had no pace, watch him outpace (so bloody pleased for his old mate) Alex OC after scoring.

Come some time in early June, Long will have spent longer in the No.7 than Rickie did.
I like Shane but that is suprising, can't see him getting near Matty's tenure in the shirt though.
I will just add that I think that there is a space in the squad for a Shane type player as long as there are natural goalscoring Strikers there as well.
There's space for the player Shane was, but age has taken its toll there; he isn't as quick as he once was, which devalues his work rate somewhat, and also means that he gets fewer chances overall and consequently he doesn't generate enough goals to overcome the misses. From 2011-12 to 2015-16, he scored almost 8 goals per season, at a goal every 270 minutes...not great, but certainly passable. Since, he's at a goal every 600+ minutes, which is what you'd expect from a fairly goal-shy midfielder, and he doesn't have the legs to stretch defenses to the extent he once did. Yeah, there's room for him to be thrown on at the 80 minute mark when you're leading, but he really doesn't have much of a role beyond that at this level.
We were, still remember Holloway's meltdown. Wasn't it promotion season?
