Saints Stuff

They may be following his progress with interest, but they are not usually ones to go for Championship players until they've proven they can cut it in the PL too...and that's where we come in! So long as we can fight off Everton/Crystal Palace/West Ham etc. Those clubs have been willing to pay higher wages, but also pay a higher fee to the club which makes our life difficult. I'd say theres quite a few other clubs that would pay more than us in both aspects now too....including our little friends down the road Bournemouth.

 

I think we might well see him given his chance, over Long, simply because of a comment Ralph made earlier in the season, after Long had replaced Obafemi.
Can’t recall the exact words, but they were along the lines of Long’s off the ball movement not being as effective as that of Obafemi, and not what he was looking for.

 

It’s right up there for tear jerking, but this is the one for me:

 

Am a massive fan of MLT and what he has meant for us, but he doesn't make me want to pat his cheeks and call him choochums. I lurve Rickie.

 

P.s. Isn't this long break between games boring...not looking forward to a possible 3 week break. Might be different if we weren't in the relegation zone, but I just want the season to move on quickly until we are out of it again.

 

I think I have mentioned on here, that I stood applauding that goal for so long, I was asked to sit down, as I was still applauding after Arsenal had restarted the game.
I just hadn’t noticed.

 

That MLT goals was one of those (sadly) infrequent times at a football match when you go so mental that you actually don't know what to do. You hug and kiss everyone and make the weirdest of noises

 

Watching videos of that game gives me goosebumps...and I wasn't into football or Saints at the time it happened.

 

Im not quite sure what youre trying to say mate.

You seem to say you know he isnt good, will continue to make jokes about him but are a little irked when people mention his lack of ability.

I get youre sticking up for him, but even 3 years ago I thought he wasnt good enough and that was possibly his peak.

Anyhow - we can agree to disagree or you can relent and hail to me as I am clearly and always correct

I love Rickie. But Matty absolutely made my supporting of the Saints throughout the 90's the most exceptional fantasy ride. Easy to say that without he, it would have been a totally different experience. So when I say Lambert isn't in the same league as him, its no discredit. No one was in the same bracket as Le Tissier, and I'll go as far to say no one ever will be.

 

Making jokes is always a good thing, especially when it comes to Saints. As long as they are original and witty.

It's more just the random digs aimed Long's way, usually when the discussion is not even about him. It's become an obsession for some people on here to slate him on a daily basis.

Anyway, as you wish I will relent and indeed, hail you in your infallibility. You swine!
