He's only doing well in the championship FFS. Not like he'll be able to help us into the CL positions next year. We need to be looking at LB's who cant get a game in Italy and France.
However we have a LB that wants out of SMS ASAP and we are likely to be in the Championship next season, so why wouldn't you want to look after this young man so he is ready to step into the gap without spending millions on another player

Blue ink. We will need him next season. Plus a replacement RB, CB, 2 CDM, LM, RM, CAM and a ST.

Carrillo will still be here though. That I’m sure about.

Fulham fans seem to have made their mind up about Matty.

Matt Targett: We’ll soon to running out of ways to sum up Targett’s continuing excellence. What a distance he has made to this team since arriving from Southampton in January. Produced a moment of real quality with the majestic ball in that Johansen buried to give Fulham the lead. The Whites might have had two more goals from his deliveries before half time but Mitrovic failed to put away a couple of good headed opportunities. Defensively disciplined as ever. 8

Matt Targett says he might be interested in Fulham permanently if they are in the EPL.....ouch. Says Saints haven't contacted him once while he has been on loan...now that really isn't on.

What the **** is going on behind the scenes. We should be contacting him and all our loanees regularly as standard,...but the fact that we know Bertrand wants out whether we stay up or go down...how incredibly short sighted of the club. You've got to worry about the direction we are going in all parts of the club.

I have a feeling the board have other matters on their mind. I am surprised the others members of the management team have not at least asked how he was though. Sparky wouldn't have even probably been aware of him but you would have thought members of the first team and other team mates would have been in touch surely?

I’m guessing that this vital job would have been part of Hugo Schekter’s role, but he’s gone to West Ham and I don’t know if he’s been replaced. It certainly is symptomatic of the demise of the “family club” nature of Saints.

I imagine Saints players have been in touch with him. But that would be on friend level not on behalf of the club and that's the problem. Reed seems to be doing well at Norwich too. These are players that would be useful for us in the Championship and building for the future. They've been with us for years and years and really should be treated with respect by the club, even if for whatever reason, we didn't see them having a future with us.

At the very least we need somebody going out to them and whispering in their ear that all their current success is because of of all the training we gave them and because of the loan opportunity we provided for them and that they are really thankful to us and that their contract means their soul still belongs to us. :emoticon-0130-devil

Just seems to be a lot of mismanagement happening. Really basic things like checking on loan players. It is not like we are Chelsea and have hundreds out on loan. How hard can it be.

Wouldn't it be the role Kelvin was doing before he became coach... don't think we filled it did we?

This news about our loanee a having no contact/support from our club is just yet another serious question mark about the management on the playing staff
We have all been concerned about the transfer policy, loss of Koeman, appointments and delayed dismissals of CP and MP, sale of Pelle & Mane without replacing, the apparent decline in results of the academy, lack of players coming up from the academy into the first team, the rumours about agents involvement in academy signings and so on.
All this is adding up to give us a view that things are falling apart at a managerial level and this is adding up to us on the verge of being relegated with a massive debt round our necks

Looking at some of the loanees, we have two at Yeovil that have seen very little action, Sam G at Brum is presumably injured as he hasn't featured lately, Harrison Reed seems to be a fixture at Norwich. Harry Lewis still number one at Dundee United. Jordie Classie not first choice at Club Brugge and Olly Cook is at Barrow. We don't get much feedback on any of them.

They do a brief update every week saying how they are getting on. Here's this weeks:
