It wouldn't be a terrible idea if he was willing to accept a suitably low wage. Our 4th choice striker would rarely play so it makes sense not to spend much on them.

Ideally the 4th choice would be a youngster from the academy but it doesn't look like we have much coming through these days, at least not in recent years.

I expect the salary issue is why it is in the negotiation phase rather than being a done deal

Who though? There are some promising ones in the academy but I expect they are a year off really . And it would seem the club thinks so too

And for all 16 of those years I expect it has never been directly dialed by any club he has played for with regards to contracts. That would be his agent. But I get what she is trying to say.

Yes me too. Someone mentioned his height the other day and I thought that can't be right, so I looked it up. And sure enough he's a lumpy 5ft 9er.

I’m not surprised. Went for a medical last week and they measured me properly. Gone years saying I am 5’9 but found out I am 5’7.25”. Yes the .25 is important.

I can quite confidently say that Ché is taller than 5'9 - I don't think he's over 6ft but he's definitely not that short.

That would make sense to me. Whenever people say 5’9 (which they do, a lot) it just seems…odd.
