Fair enough. As long as people do get their money back. If it causes then any difficulties financially, it might be worth dropping the club a note. You never know. Maybe worth doing that anyway as I’m sure the club don’t want the fans left with any bad feelings.
My mate did have to chase in the end. Reason he didn't renew was because a loss of work so did need the money really. Was just a bit miffed that they were taking everyone elses cash (and then refunding some) while he was still waiting on a refund due for months. Got it sorted eventually though. I always felt the 14 day thing was ambitious when they announced it and that they'd struggle. Probably less people bothered as we're doing well!
I completely agree with the staffing issues, which is why I havent gone in too hard on them, or ever got aggy with them. I know its not ideal for anyone, and I'm luckily in a fortunate position where i don't need that extra money to live day by day However, you cant promise 14 day refunds if you know you wont be able to fulfill it. They were on limited staff when they made that promise, so it's not a new situation. To wait 5 weeks for a Man U refund is pretty poor, imo, but as long we all get it in the end.
Shops struggle to pay high rents and rates in large shopping centres now...worth it when there was a massive footfall. Not true now and shops were struggling even before that. To quote Joni Mitchell: You don't know what you've got till it's gone.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-hampshire-55489461 Got to go here, Saints fan Craig David gets an MBE. BTW does anyone else see a bit of Danny Ings in him??? :
By the way... did I read that he got it for making a comeback? Please tell me I’ve missed something here and it is for something he’s done like years of charity work... please.
Here's a nice documentary about King Kev's career with comments from the great man himself although the picture quality isn't good. What a truly great player he was. If you want to skip to his time at the Saints it starts at 59:00 and ends at 1:08:00. He even scored a couple against The Skates at Nottarf for The Toon!...Legend
In fairness to Craig David, as well as being a Saints fan, I've just been informed of this - "First three albums platinum (sextuple platinum for the first one), comeback album was No.1 and went gold, sixteen top ten singles including two No.1s, sold truckloads around the world too. If anything, it's belated and overdue." So fair play really.
