What I don't understand about Eternal Glory is that if you are the worst you get to put your feet up for the rest of the day, whereas your opponent will have completed another couple of events. That doesn't make sense.
Also the order of events makes a massive difference. e.g. last time if the events had been in a different order James Cracknell would have been nowhere near the final, just because his bad event was last meant he was in the final, despite doing great in all the others
Was never going to happen, was it? With a higher IQ than all the rest of the departed put together and a very clear grasp of his own strengths and weaknesses, Morgan was always going to do well. If he spends the next 10 years at United, he'll always be a Saints legend and the one we sorely miss (though I thought Clasie and Wanyama were bloody good against Liverpool last week). One of my season-ticket holding United mates thinks he could be the bargain of the season. I wouldn't disagree.
I have always said it about Morgan. He was destined for greatness. On top of his footballing ability he is a really decent fella. I'll never forget meeting him and talking to him in broken French at the players awards dinner in the league one season. He was so humble and grateful I spoke to him in his language and he seemed confused as to why my Dad would have him as his favourite player. Top, top bloke and player. The fact he is a Saints legend for me will never change.
http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/20151031-saints-foundation-senior-saints-project-2775367.aspx Just when you thought you couldn't be prouder of Saints, the Foundation has launched a project to try and reduce isolation amongst the elderly. That's Godders taken care of then.
Used to be quite a risk buying a Saints calendar...half the team would be gone by January. Thought they would be better to issue stickers to update it. Better luck this time.
It's the first time I've bought a calendar for about 10 years but I couldn't resist when I saw the new winter catalogue - Jose and Graziano on my wall for 12 months? Yes please
Blimey, Anders' career must rival Claridge's for length. Still have that match on a DVD, copied from my videotape of it, somewhere. Must dig it out and play it. That's an interesting clip actually, because Jo Tessum had an absolute blinder of a game that evening. His shooting [he scored a great goal] and off-ball running was of excellent quality. Did make me wonder if we'd signed another tallish player called Jo Tessum. It was certainly the best performance I ever saw from him. Got a standing ovation when he was subbed later on.
Anders was one of my favourite players when I started following Saints. Amazing that he is only just now retiring, he must be nigh on 40. I believe he is the most capped Swedish player too.
A video of when we beat Dagenham and Redbridge 4-0....D&G were Saints without Lambert if you can't remember. Worth looking at because of Oxo's two goals (before Arsenal ruined him), Barnard's goal (only man to glass himself ), and a goal from Fonte (when he had magnificent hair).

Interesting point you make there Fran. Would we have him back.? There was a time when it was a no-brainer yes, but nowadays I don't think so. As you say, Arsenal have ruined him, just like they've done to so many ex-Saints players.
