Morning all. Just started a match thread on our Board so feel free to pop acroiss and comment. Cheers!
A bit off topic but it makes me chuckle how 95% of premiership fans say they expected us to be dead certs for relegation. It's as if they just look at the name 'Hull' and make judgement from that.
Last season, I think we had the strongest squad in the championship. An injured strike force (Fryatt and Aluko) for most the season was the difference that left us trailing behind Cardiff. We also have a wealthy, ambitious owner and a highly experienced and renowned manager, all added together made us very well equipped for promotion.
All we needed was that manager to pick out the key pieces that needed adding to the squad and its looking as if he's done that. We may have done better than anyone expected so far, and staying up is always a hard task for pretty much any promoted club, but its as if no one actually bothers to look at the circumstances at clubs rather than just look at the name and make a decision.
What am I on about, they're premiership fans, they don't have a fûcking clue about anything outside the big 6. I bet most don't even know there's 24 teams in the championship.
I massively agree with this post, although I think you need to remember that we Saints have come up through the leagues recently, so we know more than most.
Which is why I can put my smug hat on and say I thought you'll be fine for a while now. You're in a similar place to us last season![]()

I don't know if this has been posted before:

Yes, well done Osvaldorama - I checked back on your own forums "Who will go down?" post. You speak the truth! You picked us to stay up back in August. I'm tipping a 2-0 win for City, which I've posted on your site.
im going 2-0 saints , or 0-0 / 1-1 .......haha . Hull are a good team , doing well and it really could go any way , there are no easy premier league games , (although man city probably enjoyed playing norwich last week ) .......I have to be honest though and feel we are the better team , and on our form this season i dont think that it is arrogant at all predicting a home win . I am more than aware there are many arrogant saints fans (every club has them ) but reading back , i have to agree that looking at the fixtures both pre season and now and if saints really are aiming for those European places that they talk of then I cant disagree that Hull at home is a game that we should be aiming for nothing less than 3 points , thats my opinion im sure many will disagree , but I mean that with no disrespect at all ......

We seem to be playing in blue quite a lot, I thought there was a limit on how many times you can wear your away shirt?
Our home kit doesn't clash with Saint's home shirt, so why have we opted for a kit that has red and white in it, when playing a team who's home kit is red and white stripes?
They're not playing in red and white stripes this season, they're in plain red.
It looks like Brady won't be risked on Saturday either.

We're fooked.
I love SBC 2014/2015.
here's a southampton blogger underestimating us.
despite making a big show of lots of numbers to make his view look scientific, he plays down that huddlestone's performance score (whatever that is) is 20 above lallana's, and ignores that not chelsea, spurs, man city or everton or anyone else has scored 3 against us and that southampton haven't yet scored 3 in a game and predicts a 3-0 home win. he's in for a surprise.
