This is going to be tough game fro Saints who can beat anyone on their day. Similarly we can lose to anyone - it's that sort of league. Two tight defences could well cancel each other out and it wil largely depend on whether Saints can take their chances. With all the talk of Saints players joining the England team watch out for James Ward Prowse. If we win, the goal will come from one of his deliveries. Either way, I would not recommend you sit back and defenc, otherwise it could be a cricket score!! On balance I would say 1-0 Saints but wouldn't be too gutted over a 0-0 draw.
We tend not to sit back and defend. In the opening 20 minutes against Chelsea we had to dig deep, being camped in our own half, likewise against Norwich when we were down to 10 men. Whilst we wont press as high up the pitch as you do, we'll hassle and harry and break when we have the chance. I would expect us to have pockets of possession, but generally we struggle to do an awful lot with it. I'm anticipating a touch of class\lapse of concentration to win it.
I predict that if the game is won, it will be win by one team scoring a goal. I also predict that if one team manages to score more times in the opponents goal than vice versa, that team will win the game.
Burnsie feels that Alex Bruce may get a start to do a man-to-man marking job on Adam Lallana as he pulls the strings. Dont see it myself. I feel that SB will go with the same starting eleven as last week and more or less the same bench. This game has draw all over it. 0 - 0. Two very good defences. Looking forward to it.
