That's an instant red flag, for me.
Just wondering why you feel this is an instant red flag? He's apparently been unhappy at Hamburg for a long time and the owners have known this, also the Sporting Director has suddenly left so this could be causing transfer problems. Bayern are keen for the lad to get some game time and are looking to facilitate his loan move to Saints. Reports coming out of Hamburg are that Peretz missed HSV’s first training session of the new year on Friday, but head coach Merlin Polzin emphasised that his absence was not related to his uncertain future and reports that he's refusing to train might be false.

We're quick enough to moan when our players refuse to train when they want a move, so why should it be acceptable for someone to do that to force a move to join us?

Bild are usually quite reputable, so im willing to trust them.

I’ve never been one who is fussed by any of the antics of players to get moves but especially for someone who is only joining on loan

Feels different when it’s just a loan player. He went to Hamburg to play and he isn’t, he has no allegiance to Hamburg. I’d far rather a player who forces a move because he wants to play football than whatever Edozie has been doing wasting his career away.

Each to their own.

See, I dont even have any issues with Edozie doing whatever.

He signed the contract we offered, so he's fully within his right to see it out if nothing as good arises elsewhere.

Having lived in Germany for many years I'm inclined to disagree with how reputable Bild are in their reporting. They have a reputation for being nothing more than a sensationalist tabloid which has been Germany's most often reprimanded newspaper for violations of the German Press Code

From Wiki
Bild is tabloid in style but broadsheet in size. It is the best-selling European newspaper and has the sixteenth-largest circulation worldwide. Bild has been described as "notorious for its mix of gossip, inflammatory language, and sensationalism"
Its nearest English-language stylistic and journalistic equivalent is often considered to be the British national newspaper The Sun, the second-highest-selling European tabloid newspaper.

I have zero knowledge of what is actually going on with Sam. What I feel is this, I used to get excited and then at times frustrated when he was playing for us and also annoyed that nobody at the Club seemed to recognise how best to develop his talent. I’d very much like to see him back in the fold making a contribution rather than not even being on the sidelines. At present we need to have more players who like him will present problems for the opposition if even at time some confusion to his teammates. Add this prospect to Leo, Tom etc in flow, that would be worth the ticket money!!

I agree with both tbh. If we have given a player a contract he’s well within his rights to see it out if he wishes. Likewise if a better job opportunity comes up he’s well within his rights to do what he can to get the move.

I guess I just am in favour of player power over club power

In other words they peddle bild-erdash.

I presume his loan agreement was for the whole season otherwise Bayern would be in the driving seat here rather than Hamburg? Unless it’s different in Germany?

I can't tell you how disappointed I am with your post SF4L. I'm assuming you've been a football fan for a reasonable amount of time and yet you've still come out with this unbiased nonsense.
Honest comments are for weirdo's who don't like football, we all know that.

Have a look at the options below. They've served me well and it's not too late for you.

1.If a player forces a move to come to us it's because he's ambitious and his club are being unreasonable. He would be crazy not to take the opportunity to join us and that chance might not come again in a short career. He could regret it for the rest of his life. Any variation of that will be acceptable.

2.If one of our players refuses to train or play for us, then he is a disloyal, selfish, money grabbing ****house. And that's the truth.
